See shout out on customer service below…… This rack holds my 70lb e-bike without problem and does not sway when driving. I feel confident driving knowing that it is secure. They have improved the Center bar that holds the bike in place. The older version had a safety screw at the top that made if very difficult for 1 person to load the bike. With this gone, I can easily load the bike on and off. Don’t worry, there is a lockiing mechanism that keeps it in place. I am an average sized women and I can easily load the bike on and off myself. We are now getting a 2nd e-bike and I am confident this rack will hold both. Note on customer service -… I saw many reviews of late saying the customer service was hard to get. My rack was missing a piece. I emailed them and no reply. I was then able to contact them through amazon and immediately got a reply. They kept me informed and were having trouble with receiving items. During this time, I also go a reply to my original email saying the person the emails went to had left and they were trying to catch up with the back log. Within a week, my missing piece arrived. I get the world has a shortage of workers and Vibrelli tried really hard to make it right - and they did. Even if the missing piece had not arrived, I am recommending the bike rack to anyone that asks. It is very high quality, holds heavy bikes comfortably, it comes with locks and matching keys and I feel safe driving it. I only waited to write this review to see if the missing piece arrived, it did and they get 5 out of 5 stars!! ... show more

    • Very solid hitch. No noise or wobble.
First, my minor annoyances. They include a skinny hitch pin with this and the hole is not drilled out enough for a standard or locking hitch pin. Even though the anti-rattle knob has a locking option, an extra layer of optional theft protection would have been nice. A second hole, a few inches closer would have been nice to allow for a closer fit to vehicles, as it sticks out quite a bit, though understandable due to the "universal fit". It's also possible due to the built in anti-rattle setup, a second hole or even a larger hole may not work. Now that we have that out of the way, this is a very solid hitch. I like the fact that it is a 2" , not an 1 1/4" with a modded add on piece. Helps to make it a more solid fit. Assembly is easiest on your vehicle, but could be done on the ground in a pinch. For now, I'm only using it for 1 bike, so I'll save the extra cradles and hook. Everything fits tight. Once you have tightened down everything, there is no movement or rattle from this. Once I adjusted the wheel holders for my bike and tightened it down, I took it for a quick spin, including a quick off road on a nearby dirt/gravel road and it stayed tight. No noise, no wobble, no rattle. Any movement was the vehicle itself. The tire cradles do a great job of holding things in place. I feel confident this will do well on a road trip, including off road to get to dirt or mountain trails. It does a good job of folding up too, so you can stow it on the vehicle while off riding. For reference, this was with a 27.5 full suspension mountain bike. Lastly, security. The hitch part and the sliding lock down hooks include a key lock to help with anti-theft. They even include a pretty long cable lock as well that uses the same key. This is plenty for the casual opportunistic thief, but if theft is a concern, invest in some higher rated u-locks and heavy duty rated chains as well. (Do the research, cables don't hold up well to bolt cutters and even some tin snips, so go chains. They can still get through with portable grinders, but the more obstacles and the longer they have to make lots of noise, the better) While additional security may be a pain, dealing with chains and extra locks, having your bikes stolen is much worse. The more layers, the less likely someone will bother with it, or they'll be using grinders for quite a while drawing a lot of attention to themselves. plus this is a bike carrier, so you can store the extra stuff in the vehicle while out enjoying your ride. :) ... show more

Yes, there is room for 2 bikes even with a Jeep spare tire! The rack was easy to assemble and my first bike was mounted within 30 minutes. It is a solid rack that keeps the bikes very secure. This is a simple design that exactly meets the need. I am thrilled with this purchase. Warning for Jeep owners: The rack will not fold up with the spare tire mounted. This is no big deal for me. Also, the bikes are fairly high off the ground which requires a little more strength to lift them onto the rack. Both of these issues could be solved with a lowering hitch extension if needed. ... show more

I was hesitant on this rack being able to work on fat tire Ebikes. I'm here to say to not worry like I had. This is a solid built rack. Holds our two 20x4 fat tire Ebikes with ease. One bike is 96# dry and other is 68# dry. I did pull the battery from both and added one simple strap around the bikes to secure to the carrier more sturdy. We have done 3k miles now and not one issue. Folds down easily for trunk access even Loaded. Folds up easily when not in use as well. No rattle at all like our old rack had. Can't even tell it is on the van. Great value here and gets the job done with ease. ... show more

    • Superb for the price
I waited until I had a chance to test it out a few times before writing this review. If you're looking at hitch rack prices and feeling like it's outrageous how costly Thule and the other brands are, then stop looking. This bike rack is fantastic for the price. It feels very solid, is relatively easily to use (I don't have any comparison to judge by, but it's straightforward enough for me), and it holds at least 120lbs worth of bike. My e-bike is a 700 series from Ride1Up, and my wife's is a Level2 from Aventon. The rack holds them both easily. There are locks on the hitch tightener/wobble reducer, on the frame clamps, and on the cable lock. Same key for all. The wobbler reducer works extremely well and overall the bikes feel very well supported. It has a tilt mechanism to fold it closer to the tailgate/hatch when not in use, and you can drop it down to open the gate if you need to. It's easy to pinch yourself on the tilt mechanism lock so be careful, but it's worth the risk because it's spring loaded and very secure. I'm very, very happy with such a high quality product in this day and age, and at an amazing price. ... show more
