Love this thing! For reference, I have an 11 year old Serta memory foam mattress that is still just as new and firm! So much so that I no longer like the firmness and purchased a feather bed/topper to soften it up- one with sewn in squares so the feathers don’t shift. It was still too firm. Settled on this 3 inch foam and it’s like sleeping on a cloud now! To specify- what you see in the picture (from bottom to top): mattress, foam, feather bed, mattress cover/protector and fitted sheet and I’ve never been happier sleeping! It sinks just enough that it feels like my bed is lightly hugging me. I’m more of a side sleeper nowadays and my shoulders and/or back would often hurt after getting up. The feather bed helped for a bit but there were mornings I woke up in a bit of pain. Have had this bad boy for a month now and haven’t woken up with any pains/stiffness or aches since. I tend to sleep hot and the gel from the foam does its magic and does not retain heat. It does not slide at all- yes, I have a mattress cover to keep everything in place, but this is also set up in a Murphy bed so the mattress is upright for most of the day. Please note- that I have a Queen bed but purchased a full size foam (note the size difference in 2nd pic). Oh, also note that it’s a “CertiPUR-US Certified Foam” which (I believe) is how other brands get away with offering lower priced ones - they don’t go through this extra process in getting certified or perhaps fail. I let it air out as instructed- no funky or chemical smells at all and it opened up nicely after 3 hours (it was difficult waiting and not setting it up that same night). The mattress I was sleeping on was a torture device. I woke up every morning with my back and hips hurting. This mattress topper is worth every penny. It’s very comfortable memory foam. Doesn’t get hot. Has maintained its shape, but I do flip it at least twice a month.

I have a 14 year old mattress. Cant yet afford a new mattress, so this will do. The secret to "inflating" your new topper is to lay it out on the floor of the living room or something and periodically give it a gentle shakeout, like a large rug. Honestly, my topper was fully fluffed within 30 minutes. I gave it 34 hours anyway. But yeah don't just unwrap the thing and let it sit there untouched, that'll take forever that way. ... show more

Bought this to top a futon and its perfect. Im glad I bought it. It puffs up in 24 hours and really comfortable. My only complaint is its hard to store when not in use but I folded it and put it in an old suitcase.
