I might have preferred a cute country cloth style awning, but they are difficult to find and I don't have the time to figure out how to create one. Even though this awning style doesn't match the aesthetics of my greenhouse overall, it works like a charm so far in rain and helps to shade the west side in the worst heat of the day. My husband had to improvise a bit on installing the screw plates on my small greenhouse gable, but it works and is solid, thanks to his carpentry skills. It has not been tested in wind yet, but our property is surrounded by thick tree lines on the northwest, which is where most of the wind comes from. And on the southeast side, our two-story house and additional mature trees. I hope it will last for a long time. I like the additional front length and curved dip compared to other models I had researched. There is just enough height clearance to allow the greenhouse door to open all the way, in spite of the shorter structure height. We had carefully assessed measurements beforehand, but sometimes the best-laid plans don't work out. This time it did, fortunately. It seems solid enough and my husband had no difficulty assembling it, nor adapting it and installing it to my greenhouse without any help. Always a good thing! ... show more

The 40 inch version is very light. It feels a bit flimsy. It is not too difficult to put together. The anchor screws work better for concrete walls. Let’s see if it holds up during rainy and windy days.

I bought the 40 x 80 awning which comes with 4 PC panels and 3 brackets. The instruction is a pictorial only and no written instructions. I watched several installation videos on YouTube and the same type of construction with similar awnings with other brands. What I failed to notice and found out the hard way is that the two sections have to be assembled first before mounting on the wall. After attempting to install the second panel for a few hours, I had to take it down and assemble both panels on the ground. I also had to pre-drill holes for the sheet metal screws. Some won't go through without a pilot hole. At the same time, I changed the screws with stainless. They don't provide fasteners other than the ones for brick or concrete walls. ... show more

    • Do not buy 120" version!

This was a mess! I do not think anyone tried to put 120" together, this thing wobbles more than that Tik Tok star Yasin's belly, completely unsteady and impossible to install even with 3 people.....it disassembled itself 100 times before I could get it on the wall, just horrible! This is not all, look at this: 1. Page 7 has the wrong dimensions 91.5cm instead of 96.5cm, so almost 2" short. Needless to say I had to drill another 6 holes into concrete and fill the other six holes in, my wall looks like Swiss cheese now, yay thanks! 2. Not enough screws, or rather said not long enough, they did nothing to hold the aluminum pieces to the plastic, so frustrating! 3. The anchor bolts are not good for its size, too long.......80mm?!?! 4. I had to use duck tape to hold it together in place without falling apart. Anyways, the only size I would buy from them is the 40"x40" that is ok, stable enough to mount it yourself without any problem.......... just good enough to finishing the day without cursing. This project made say words I never knew before; my whole neighborhood looks at me different now. Safe your souls and do not buy the 120" version or you will suffer for a while. Every time I look at my awning, my PTSD kicks in! ... show more
