  • Great tool for small price!
Style: 60"Landscape Rake
I really didn’t think I needed this yard rake but when it went on sale for $120.00 I said what the hell and purchased it. I’m glad I did now. It works great behind my tractor at my place of business doing our right of way. I have also used it to smooth out some ruts that were in the corner of the property. ... show more

  • Solid 4 stars probably closer to 4.5 when on sale
Style: 48"Tow Dethatcher
I purchased the 48 inch version when it was on a really good sale. Given the price, it was probably the best purchase decision out of the other options available. You should however, ignore all of the reviews that say the instructions are bad. That simply isn’t true, the instructions aren’t bad they’re terrible. The pictures of the assembly are tiny and several parts could be installed in two different directions. Because the instructions are so sparse in the images so small you will likely have to install and uninstall them at least once before you get them put on correctly. Additionally, while there is a parts list with the name of the parts, that’s it. You’ll have to figure out which part is which based off of the number of pieces listed. That being said if you’ve ever assembled something before, you shouldn’t have any difficulty assembling this, it will just take a little longer due to the lack of clear instructions. Instructions also don’t mention what to do with the two long rods which slide in between the coils of the tines. Supposedly there is an assembly video on YouTube, which I couldn’t find, but looking at images of the product will help you. My only other complaint is that transport mode doesn’t work at least not in my case. No matter where I set the lever, the tines are always engaged. However, I think this is due to the fact I’m using a lawnmower that has a low hitch point an ATV or a larger tractor probably would not have this issue. As a sidenote, I did not purchase this to dethatch my yard, but as a pine straw rake. Despite reading several articles on the Internet that said it couldn’t be used for that, it worked extremely well. Well enough that I had to unhitch it and lift it up off all of the Pine needles that it raked up to clear them. It was well worth the money I spent, and I’m only giving it four stars, due to the really poor instructions, and less than stellar build quality. It is built well enough to do the job and should last for many years, but I don’t see this as a tool your children or grandchildren will be using. ... show more

  • Works well
Style: 48"Tow Dethatcher
This thing was a pain to put together but I pull it behind my cub cadet and it works well. You can make several passes if necessary and then I pick up the thatch with a sweeper that I also Tow behind the tractor. It’s been the best solution for me

  • 60" landscape rake
Style: 60"Landscape Rake
Attached behind Ford 8N for raking gravel and desert landscape. Tines seem strong and hold tight to drag bar. So far with only an few hours of use, I am pleased with how well the rake works. Extremely easy and quick to assemble and light enough to move.

  • Assembly instruction error but overall fairly easy. 1 to 1.5 hours
Style: 40"Tow Dethatcher
I may change this up or down depending on how long it lasts. Just want to give my thoughts on the assembly process. To start, if you buy this be aware the instructions are not the best assembly order. Also, page 13 shows using #6 bolt and it's actually the #12 carriage bolts that you use on the spring rakes. Why they show putting those on before attaching wheels and tow bar is baffling. Best to wait as they just get in the way. Also the wheel type is terrible. Bolt washers and nuts is not a very good way to attach cheap plastic wheels. The wheels are not likely to last anyway. They will wear out in the center hole eventually. You will need to figure out it's 13mm and 19mm wrench/sockets you will need also as they don't tell you tool requirements. It isn't very difficult to assemble just pay close attention to the details in the pictures. There are 2 long rods in the package that nobody knows what they are for. For me they go in the pile of stuff I may find a use for some day. ... show more

  • Trash instructions. Cheap chicom stuff. Saving the $$ isn't worth it. Look elsewhere.
Style: 48"Tow Dethatcher
If only I could leave less than one star. Do not buy this unless you have an exceptionally large amount of free time that would need to be spent deciphering the absolutely USELESS instruction manual. But its not really a instruction manual. It's pretty much just a collection of pages that have tiny diagrams with useless depictions of what parts just MIGHT go where. Oh great! A parts list! That's helpful. No, not really. For the money I was thinking a little aggravation might be worthwhile. Nope. Wheels installed and on to the next step. But wait, the diagram doesn't match up to the included structural parts. I like to consider myself pretty handy. A garage full of tools. A moderately wide range of previous mechanical projects, suspension lift kits for trucks, repairing tractors and cars, things like that. This yard tool was infuriating. I will literally go spend 4 times as much right now to buy one that has a proper manual and the pieces fit properly. And this company knows this product is crap. Nearing the end of the return process they offered "if you would like to keep this item, we will refund you $13.98." Amazing. Sure, gimme back $14 for a piece of stamped steel parts and chinese bolts, along with your crappy manual. It'll look great sitting in my trash can. They just want to avoid bad reviews. It's my own fault. The price was alluring for something that gets used once or maybe twice a year. DON'T DO IT. ... show more

  • Sturdy but hard to built
Style: 48"Tow Dethatcher
I'm like everyone else about the instructions. They are tiny & hard to understand. The online video isn't much help either. A easy build of things where explained. I've put together many pieces like this on the farm over the years easily. However this was a 5 hour project trying to figure out what went where. The worst is the handle getting it in the correct position. It's what basically holds it upright. I guess you can expect for the price Vevor can't afford explained directions or a video. Overall compared to more expensive models it's just as good. ... show more
