  • Exceeded my expectations, and I'm picky
Style: 60"Dethatcher with 3-point Attachments
I use my tractor only to maintain a mile long driveway with switchbacks and a rock slide. Every Spring I have to clear debris. After I finish dragging with the box blade there's always a ton of rocks I don't want to drive over, and it's a tedious job to go rake or throw them off the road by hand. By setting this rock rake at an angle and making multiple passes you can sweep everything into one ditch and scoop it up later with a bucket. As shipped there's a pin that allows you to rotate it in 45° increments. I found it 45° was far too steep and the rake would cut into the surface instead of just raking the surface. If you have a 7/8-in step drill you can make additional holes in the plate anywhere you want! Halfway between the 45s was perfect for me. When angled the rake is narrower and off center, so you may not be able to rake all the way to the edge of your field or road. It's very heavy and shipped in a flat cardboard box, so losing parts in shipping is very possible. The A seller will make you return it and the V seller will ship you replacement parts for free. Choose carefully. BTW, there is a version of this rake that comes without the three-point attachment. It goes into a 2-in receiver. I think it'll be too close to the tractor and too much torque on the receiver, and the tines are further apart, so I think the extra money for this integrated 3 point attachment is worth it. ... show more

  • Good value, but could be a bit better
Style: 60"Dethatcher with 3-point Attachments
I have used this rake several times already and it works well with my 25hp tractor. I do see two things happening as I use it. The tines do bend, they are not so much spring steel but a softer steel that I can bend back into shape by hand. Also the bolts that hold the tines strip their threads fairly easily, don't seem to be graded or case-hardened hardware. I used a 1/4" battery impact driver and I didn't over do it, but the threads stripped. The bolts aren't coming apart but the tines loosen and move around a bit and bunch up, I think I will replace the loose one with Grade 5 or Grade 8 bolts. ... show more

  • Happily surprised
Style: 72"Tow Dethatcher
Assembly was straightforward with no missing pieces as others have noted. The box was quite beat up though. It took about an hour on the tailgate of a pickup. One thing to pay attention to is the angle of the attachment relative to the ground. If it points backwards, the material will want to roll under the tines. It could stand to be a little heavier, but this is easily fixed with a couple of cinder blocks. Once I figured out how to properly use it, the rake was quite effective on straw, pine needles, and small branches. It's not a rock rake, so don't expect it to dig into the ground. Overall I'm happy with the cost/benefit of this attachment. ... show more

  • Pasture rake
Style: 72"Tow Dethatcher
As advertised. Good tool for keeping the pastures clean. Easy to put together, took me about an hour, and I’m a disabled VET. Should have got a discount, but Oh well. Still a good tool for what I needed.

  • Solid built but worst instructions ever.
Style: 40"Tow Dethatcher
Seems solid enough. Have not used it yet and will look at the rating again after. I gave a 3 because the assembly instructions are the absolute worst of anything I have ever purchased. They give you a QR code for assembly which has no sound and really terrible camera. As bad as it was, it's probably the only thing that saved me on this. ... show more

  • Worked great and was not too hard to put together
Style: 60"Tow Dethatcher
Needed to reseed my entire backyard and it cut my job in half. Worked great!

  • tinfoil junk
Style: 60"Landscape Rake
Wimpy piece of junk. The frame folded up like tin foil within 20 minutes of use. The tines are heavy enough but the frame needs to be double the thickness to support the stress of raking anything.

  • Works ok
Style: 48"Tow Dethatcher
I used vevors 48 inch dethatcher for the first time. It does work however the handle is pretty useless to move it up and down when it’s waited with concrete blocks.. other than that it works fine so far and I haven’t had any problems or issues. I will say it does help to cut the grass relatively short and then sweep the yard completely before beginning detaching I found it if you did not do this the detect will get clogged up and wouldn’t be effective very quickly. ... show more
