Just opened the box, hooked up the included cables to a fully charged battery and ran my hot water pot 1100w for a full cycle, then my 1200watt microwave for 1 minute. It worked well, didn’t get hot or have any issues. The remote agrees with the on-device screen within .2 volts which is close enough for me. About the remote, it is basic and uses a standard old school modular phone jack type cable. If you have the main device switch in the off position, the remote will fully power down and power up the unit. If you have the device hardware switch turned on, the remote will only put the device into some kind of sleep mode with the power button, but it will still be on and consuming energy from your battery. There might be some confusion on this based on other reviews I’ve seen. The unit does come with some extra blade type fuses but it is not obvious where these might go without opening the device which I won’t do until I have to, or there is an out of warranty problem. You can see from the pictures that when under load the remote shows my fully charged battery as just above 1/2 full and once the load is removed the indicator returns to full. If there are problems I’ll return and update my info here.

In getting this inverter and doing a few simple tests I noticed the wattage on the display was greater than the wattage of the device I was powering. I hooked a Kill-o-Watt meter up to test it and noticed around a 20% discrepancy. For example, a standard 20 inch box fan on high pulled 121 watts on the kill-o-watt, but the inverter showed 151 watts. Plugging in a few different devices and doing the math, I believe this inverter runs at around 75 to 80% of efficiency. This means that all stated wattages on the display are showing the wattage pulled from the battery, and includes heat losses during the inverter process. One should buy an inverter bigger than you need, so that you can power all of your devices. I understand it is a good practice to buy an inverter with twice the capacity that you need, so the inverter is not running at maximum. All electronic devices have mandatory labeling next to the cord, so one can easily see how much power they pull. For example, one TV pulls 50 watts, while a wifi cable modem (10 watts), fan (120 watts), coffee maker (1025 watts) or window air conditioner (1250 Watts) pull different amounts. I purchased this inverter to serve as an emergency back power source, a cheaper alternative to an Ecoflow Power Station, those devices normally display the AC power out instead of the DC power in on the wattage display. I am happy for the display and data, but just want everyone to understand how this functionality works.

After updating my rv solar system and adding a new 280 ah lithium battery this is the perfect match. My battery is installed under the bed so having the remote piece was sort of the lynch pin. I have yet to mount it but just having it there is far more convenient than not.

This inverter does the job and works well. One thing I noticed is that instead of 120vac on one phase you may see in a utility line, it actually puts out 120v peak to peak being 60vac on the positive line and -60vac on the neutral line. Thats all fine, but what I found is that not all of the 3 plugs are consistently wired. So if you combine 2 of the plugs to maximize amperage output, if the phases are not aligned you end up with an immediate short and blow the fuses. So if you combine the circuits for say, an AC unit that may exceed 15amps, you will want to check the plug wires and ensure there is not a potential voltage between the same plug sockets. I had 2 plugs wired one way, and 1 wired the opposite. If your using the plug individually its not an issue.
