This post hole digger was pretty easy to assemble, and the instructions were pretty straight forward. I built a pergola over my garden which required 36" deep concrete piers to stabilize the posts. Digging four 36" holes was more than I wanted to do by hand so I bought this to do the job. It performed flawlessly (36" is about the maximum depth it will go), and although this kind of work isn't easy, even with a gas powered post hole digger, it sure was a lot easier than doing it by hand. Worth the price in my opinion, if you want to dig a 36" hole in about 10 minutes, depending upon the hardness of your ground.

I’ve used it for about 1 hour total in 3 weeks. This budget auger has plenty of power for hard clay soil! My harbor freight auger got wet and locked up and this replaced it. Much better than the HF brand! Runs slower but the torque is higher IMO. I’d definitely buy it again, because I only need it a few times a year and it does exactly what I need!

Ok for the price. I think it could be better with some fine tuning to the carb. It doesn’t rev out very high so it wants to bind on you or bog out. The digger tip is not my favorite. It doesn’t love hard soil. I went with the 8” I wonder if the 6 would be better. My harbor freight earthquake was a better unit as far as doing the job goes. But this was a cheaper replacement when I blew it up. Make sure when you bolt the handle on you put the throttle on the right side with the exhaust facing away. I had an employee assemble it backward at first.

The media could not be loaded. Strong. Easy Assembly. Includes extra parts and a tool kit. I no longer install fencing but wanted this machine to dig fast holes for trees and shrubs. I can dig holes for an entire flower bead in minutes. Takes longer to decide where I want the plants. If it's fencing you want, then the six inch auger is great for getting the concrete all around the post.
