  • Makes quick and easy work for digging holes.
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6“10”)
We had to put up a fence. No rain for months ground hard work by hand. We bought this digger for our 17 hole and finished in one day. The price was good, we would had to paid almost the same to rent one. Now we have our own to use and help others. We had no trouble starting. Just need to know how.

  • Does the job and a great value for the equipment.
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6"10")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
I ordered this digger with the 6" and 10" augers. This digger was significantly easier to use that other diggers I have used in the past. It easily bore through packed earth and cut through thumb sized roots. Well made and the instruction manual was in legible english and the only question I had was could it be started horizontally. Nicely made and performed perfectly and easily and quickly bored holes. It bored a hole the whole length of the auger in under a minute where as using a manual post hole digger would easily taken 10-15 minutes and used very little fuel. Great buy! ... show more

  • Wow!
Size Name: 52cc+2 bit(6"10")+3 Ext(8"12"20")
This thing is now getting cheaper than when i bought it! I used my dad's HF auger and decided I needed one! This doesn't have the power or heavier duty bits that dad's does, but it does fine in our sand and light clay. The fuel mix ratio is very odd. It starts easy, every time. The HF auger bits would cut roots. This won't. If you're digging anywhere with even finger sized roots, run barely above idle. Why? Because when it grabs a root, the bit stops and the powerhead spins. It will twist your arms like a pretzel, faster than you can let go or jump off the ground. I literally thought it ripped my forearm muscles. I was sore for days. I use a Sawzall to cut the roots I hit, then keep digging. I'm about 1/3 done with a 500+ foot fence, no hiccups. The extensions will be nice when I get down near the creek and need to dig 4 feet. Try that with manual post hole diggers. The HF auger didn't have extensions either. As long as I don't have the starting issues others complained about, I call this a win! Buy it! ... show more

  • It did the job!
I decided to build a deck and I bought this, with a 12" auger, to drill the pillar holes. I went 28" deep. I'd never used an auger before. The unit came in two boxes, the one with the auger in it was destroyed and was repacked by FedEx somewhere along the way. But, the auger was fine. It's very substantial, made of very thick steel, so I can see why the box was trashed. The engine came a day later in good shape. There is a mixing bottle included, so you can measure the gas and the 2-stroke oil to the correct ratio. The manual says 30:1 gas/oil. Customer service said 25:1 is recommended. The oil I purchased said 50:1... I went 30:1. Separately I purchased a small level that I taped to the top, so that I could keep checking if I was drilling vertical. When the motor is running that's shaking all over, but when stopped it let me check if I was still on line. I had no issues, other than the mixing bottle. When capped and shook, the cap leaks everywhere, so fill only half way, wear gloves, and shake only enough to mix. I complained to customer support about this. The auger pins to the shaft of the engine. The fit is kind of loose; not a tight fit. It started fine, ran fine. I'm 6'3" no weakling, and if you jam into a rock or go sideways in the hole so that it digs in, IT WILL RIP THE UNIT OUT of your hands and spin it before it comes to a stop. So, be careful. With a 12" auger there's a lot of torque. Plunge slowly and brace your arms against your body. My soil was mostly sandy/clay and it didn't have issues cutting through it, though the clay sticks and you have to lift the unit up to clean off the auger several times. But you will be doing a lot of sweating. As you get deeper in the hole and you're bent over, it's increasingly more difficult to resist the torque. I was getting down on my knees to brace better. At 28" depth, the bottom of the motor is just a few inches above ground level. An extension, is probably a good idea, especially if you're going deeper. If you're using 12" concrete forms, they are not all 12 inches, so some will not fit into the holes. You have to use a manual post digger to enlarge the hole. I also opened up some of the holes by lowering the auger in, and while running, scraping it up and down the sides. It's tricky, because if it grabs, it's a sudden grab and again, hard to resist the torque. Anyway, I got my eight holes drilled and my concrete poured. I'll be drilling two more holes for the stair supports. And I'll try using it to drill some holes for planting trees. Overall I'm satisfied. It did the job. Good deal. ... show more

  • Dont buy.

Update, 1 start is greatful, After i finally received everything. Wont start. I Followed directions in manual. I took time off work for this project and now I have to take more time off to get a good one that works. 4 hours later cant get it to work still, customer service is a joke, I tried everything other customers said they did. Also cant return it, because i put gas in it. Obviously I couldn't know if it works or not without gas. Just spend the extra money and get one that works or rent one. Second update. Be carful following directions. Do not prime it 7 seven times. Start with 2 or three. If you flood it remove spark plug dry it, put the choke to run crank it until you see less gas come out the hole. Put the spark back in, put choke to run hold throttle, started right back up. ... show more

  • Broke instantly
On 2/21/25 I opened the box for the first time and went and used this auger. First hole went beautiful second one unfortunately not so much. The motor jerked around causing the throttle Handel to snap leaving it inoperable. At this point it was a waste of $300. Amazon days it’s not eligible for returns so I’ve attempted to contact the seller which they make it near impossible to. So I wrote them an email and I’m waiting for a reply. Will update this review in a week if I get contacted by the seller to make this right. Would not reccomend to anyone. Update the problem. They were trying to get me to get a hold of DC house when I need to get a hold of FISTER us. They have offered to replace the motor. Which is exactly what I need Customer Service very helpful and responsive. Once I can test product. I will update you again hopefully with five stars Update 2 with a change to 5 stars customer service was great and company made it right and sent me a new motor for this auger. Got home today and it was here so I busted it out and re dug some holes and it works perfect! I will recommend this product to anyone needing a auger! ... show more
