I was concerned because the product did not have returns allowed, but it all worked out great. Delivered fast and all the parts were there and everything was fully assembled (unlike other vendors that I tried before using DC House). I like that it came in two boxes. I opened the box, read the manual, put in the gas and after a couple of pulls the auger fired right up. If you are worried about power (because it is only 52cc instead of 72cc) you do not need to be. This unit has enough power to spin two full grown men... and one was 6' 5" and weighs 225#. The key is to shave the dirt slowly because the auger digs in really good. I used every extension rod and a 10" bit and drilled a 5' (60") deep hole with no problem at all. It would be nice if they had a 4" - 8" bit option. The 10" was to big for my project but the 6" was to small. I should have spent the extra $42 and gotten the 4"- 6"- 8" bit option. I only had one small job but there was no other way for me to get a 5' deep hole because my manual post hole digger will not go that deep. I should have purchased this years ago because I have dug a lot of post holes over the years.

This 52cc 1800 W gas powered earth auger from DC house works perfectly it Has good power easy to use and is a good value for your money and its not that heavy and can be used for anything you need to do I would recommend this product to anyone is looking to buy one.

Worked well. A bit hard to start when the engine is cold. Once it was started the 1st time... It ran great and started easily once shut off and started again while still warm.

This thing is now getting cheaper than when i bought it! I used my dad's HF auger and decided I needed one! This doesn't have the power or heavier duty bits that dad's does, but it does fine in our sand and light clay. The fuel mix ratio is very odd. It starts easy, every time. The HF auger bits would cut roots. This won't. If you're digging anywhere with even finger sized roots, run barely above idle. Why? Because when it grabs a root, the bit stops and the powerhead spins. It will twist your arms like a pretzel, faster than you can let go or jump off the ground. I literally thought it ripped my forearm muscles. I was sore for days. I use a Sawzall to cut the roots I hit, then keep digging. I'm about 1/3 done with a 500+ foot fence, no hiccups. The extensions will be nice when I get down near the creek and need to dig 4 feet. Try that with manual post hole diggers. The HF auger didn't have extensions either. As long as I don't have the starting issues others complained about, I call this a win! Buy it!

It already has paid for itself. Strong engine and augers that do the job comfortably but not too strong to twist your shoulder and send you to hospital. Highly recommend it

Its junk its very hard to get it to start . The handles where you use the throttle start to bend when one person tries to apply pressure. And the way its designed to be held just blows all the hot air from the exhaust right to the operator this is complete junk DO NOT BUY BECAUSE IT CAN NOT BE RETURNED!!!! Very bad quality!!!

Excellent. Dug 35 post holes in just a few hours. Just remember not to go full out because if the auger catches a rock or a root, it will about tear your arms off. It's a natural reaction to give more gas when you hit an obstruction, but DON'T DO IT. Feather the throttle all the way trough the dig cycle and use a digging bar to remove rocks or roots. I only gave it full throttle while pulling up to clear the dirt from the hole. It will take a few holes to get a feel of the tool, but I will never use a clam shell phd again.
