  • Great Machine, Super Handy, Works Very Well.
The media could not be loaded. This little machine has been awesome and an excellent purchase. We bought it to use around our property because there are about a million little jobs that are just perfect for a machine like this; digging out bush honeysuckle, moving dirt and rock, grading and moving heavy stuff like engine blocks and firewood around. It does all of this far better than I had anticipated. We bought the machine here on Amazon and then I purchased a few accessories here and on E-bay. We bought a set of forks, a receiver hitch plate, brush grapple and a concrete mixer. The machine uses the universal Toro Dingo style quick mounting plate so there are TONS of implements that hook right up. When we got the machine home I changed the oil in the engine and they hydraulic fluid just to be safe. The engine already has a drain hose installed so this was quite easy. Engine access is not bad once the rear plate is removed but one gripe I have about the machine is that checking the oil level isn't as easy as it could be. It takes some contorting to get in there, pull out the stick and check it. A hole through the side of the body would have been a nice addition. The hydraulic system holds about 5 gallons of AW46 oil. The system is cooled by a very large front mounted radiator with an outward blowing electric fan that's thermostatically controlled. The hydraulics are smooth and very powerful. Picking up large rocks or dirt with the bucket is no problem. It gets good traction and it can push a lot too. We had a large boulder to move and I managed to get the forks under it and lift it up just a little bit. Then the machine was able to push it up hill to where it needed to go. With the forks it can pick up 8 80lb bags of concrete mix on a pallet and carry the load with no problems as long as it is stacked in close. It could probably do a few more but that's all we had on hand. The auxiliary hydraulics are used to operate the grapple and to run the concrete mixer. This machine has the same 3 section pump and hydraulics as the LHY480 and overall besides the different cosmetics and the Rato engine the machines are nearly identical. The machine has lighted gauges and two LED headlights which are bright. The factory bucket is large enough for the machine. When it is filled with crushed rock or dirt it is about the right load for the machine to work with comfortably. It is as wide as the tracks too which makes grading nice. The tracks are not the high roller style. I researched this quite a bit before deciding on this model and on a lot of the machines it seems like the idler at the rear of the high roller is too small and that can cause problems. This machine has a large roller on each end and a track that's 180x72x36. The track tension which is a critical adjustment is done using a grease fitting that's behind the cover on the track. There are 6 bolts that need to be removed to get to the grease fitting. In the future I'm going to punch a hole through the cover in just the right spot to make this easier. I've had a track come off 2 times and that was early on before I got the track tension figured out. They were too loose initially and running over a rock just right could sometimes cause problems in soft soil. Getting the track put back in place is not difficult. I was able to raise up the machine using a large rock under the back and the bucket in the front. The bolt with the grease fitting is removed to let some grease out, the track is slipped back in place, the bolt is put back in and grease is pumped in to tension the track. Simple. Now after 36 hours of use that hasn't been a problem again and the tracks have stayed on. I do think that having the heavy steel plate to shield the track from most rocks and sticks probably does help quite a bit with reliability. Overall the tracks work well on all of the surfaces that the machine has seen yet, dry dirt, soft clay, rocks, driveway gravel and pavement. They show some wear and tear but they have run on quite a bit of sharp flint rock doing grading and I think that's to be expected. They are a wear item. Tracking speed is reasonably fast for a machine of this size. Plenty fast enough for what I'm doing. It is stable with a center of gravity that's pretty low. Our property is hilly and the machine has never felt unstable. Common sense is always important to use when running a machine like this. Travelling with the load low is very important. When trying to pick up heavy items the machine will easily lift the back end off of the ground. This is not scary but it allows you to judge how heavy the item is and if it is very heavy just travelling with it a few inches off of the ground seems safe enough. In the photo where I'm moving the big rock I'm using the forks and travelling with it just a couple of inches off of the ground. The 2 cylinder 739CC Rato V twin engine is very nice. It is smooth and quiet with plenty of power. About 90% of the time I run at about 1/2 to maybe 2/3 throttle which is plenty. Mine has used no significant oil in 36 hours of use. I'll change it soon. My first fill was just a conventional 10W-30. The engine has an oil cooler and a filter too. One problem that I had initially was with smoking from the exhaust on a steep hill. I had the engine filled right to the top of the "full" range. I took out a little bit of oil and dropped it down to the middle of the range and that cured the problem. Fuel consumption seems reasonable. It holds around 6 gallons and it doesn't seem to use a gallon an hour more or less. Running hard, running the concrete mixer might make it use a little more fuel but not bad. The machine is sort of like having a very strong helper around when doing stuff. I used it on a job where I had to put rock next to a house foundation that was behind some large bushes the machine was narrow enough to drive right in there with minimal damage. Yet is is also heavy enough that it could carry a reasonably large quantity of rock and unload it smoothly with no difficulty. The machine is sold on Amazon with free shipping, free delivery and free unloading. I had received tracking information when the machine shipped. I was told that it shipped from their New Jersey facility which is closer to my location in Missouri than California. I have my Amazon orders shipped to my workplace and on the morning it arrived I had checked the tracking and it showed that it had just left Philadelphia PA. I figured that it would arrive in a couple more days. But when I got to work there it was sitting in front of the building! I checked the security camera and a truck pulled up in the road out front, the machine was unloaded and it was driven into the driveway and up to our shop building, headlights on by a guy wearing a hat with a light on the front. I couldn't believe it and I don't know how they do their logistics but it arrived with the included "Tools Box" and not a scratch. .9 hours were showing on the hour meter. Later the item with the tracking number arrived and it was a box with the owner's manual for the engine. I am very pleased with my purchase and so far I've used the machine MUCH MORE than I had anticipated before I bought it just because it is so handy and easy to run. Get one, figure out what attachments that you might need and put it to work. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Is it perfect? No. But it is pretty darn awesome and nicely built by Huayee. ... show more

  • EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
This is a beautiful machine. It is so powerful, smooth, and attractive. It digs up anything with ease. It literally scoops up boulders with ease that I can't even budge using my arms, and I happen to be one of the strongest men in the state of Alabama. I feel silly for all the digging that I did before I purchased this beast. Make sure that you have some hearing protection because this bad boy operates at 95 decibels. I'll try and add a video in a few days if I can stop long enough to set up my camera. ... show more

  • Awesome sales and after sale support
I have worked with other companies trying order one of these skid steers and all failed with their order process and disappointed me. But HUAYEE is the best. I placed my order, their sales rep in US (Jennie 🌟) contacted me right away and confirmed my order, and within 5 days (to NH) the delivery was made (Wow). I never experienced such a good service from a foreign company like this one before). I had a little issue with the unit and their engineer (Mike) contacted me and arranged shipping the part had an issue, such a good after sales service. The skid steer is well build, and can tell the quality is much better than I expected. I would recommend Huayee to my friends and family without hesitation. I ended up also ordering their low cost excavator now. Bottom line, if you want a good quality unit and good sales/support, this is the company to buy from. ... show more
