BIG POWER, small package

Edit: The added video shows how to use the parallel kit, both as parallel and Series. You can also see how easy they start and hear how quiet the 4600 runs. I already own a Genmax GM3500iAED generator. It works great, is lightweight, very quiet and easy to move around. I now own a pair of Genmax GM4600iAEDC generators as well. Wow! Another 600 watts of power in the same small package. The 3500 and 4600 share some of the same features. Both have remote start, both are dual fuel and both are about the same weight and the same dimensions. Both are very quiet running generators. First both are very good machines. Comparing the two, this is what I have found. The GM3500iAED puts out 3500/3200 watts on gasoline and 3100/2800 watts on propane. It has one 30 Amp 120 volt L5-30 twist lock plug w/adapter, two 20 amp 120V AC outlets and dual USB outlets. The 3500 is parallel capable but not series capable. The GM4600iAEDC boasts 4600/3800 watts on gasoline and 4200/3500 watts on propane. The 4600 has one 30 Amp 120 volt TT-30R plug, two 20 amp 120 volt Ac outlets. It also has one 12 volt outlet and comes with a 12 volt USB & USB C adapter. Since both the 3500 and 4600 unit have remote start, there is an internal starting battery which charges while the unit is running, but the 4600 also has a battery charging port on the front panel for easy battery charging. The 4600 is capable of running not only parallel with another generator but also in series with another generator. This means not only can you increase the wattage you might need, but also you have the ability to not only produce 120 volts but also 240 volts (with the Parallel kit, sold separately). The 4600 also has an LED light atop the front panel making operating it the dark much easier, no flashlight needed. Both machines are very well built. If the 4600 had been available back when I got the 3500, I would have chose the 4600. The 3500 continues to serve me well, but the 4600 with it's additional power and capabilities, makes it a better generator for my needs. I have ordered the parallel kit and will update this review once I try it. I am looking forward to having a 240 volt option for my power needs as well as the ability to increase my 120 voltage to about 7000 watts when needed.

I own 4 Genmax generators in all now. I ordered a pair of the GM4600aIEDC's of which one is a 4th spare smaller 120v generator for our house and the other was for my daughter and SiL for their condo "just in case". I mean, when you have a generator it's almost a guarantee power won't go off again like it did before. ha My other two Genmax generators are the GM7500aIED's that come from Sam's Club which I have owned for almost 2 years now and have worked awesome. (They have other models similar that use the tried & true 312cc engines (GM7250iEDC & GM8500iAED)). Most all Genmax generators now have a 3 year Limited Warranty....not just one year. I have always had great customer service from Genmax. Just remember when you buy these generators here that Amazon is NOT the warranty people; it's the manufacturer of whatever brand you bought. Genmax has a US based toll free phone number and email address for service also. Another thing to remember is with ANY portable generators like these, WE are the service technicians the majority of the time unless you just happen to be close to whatever company authorized service center. If you're mecvhanically inclined, you're set. If not, well, you might not need a generator. With ANY brand, preventative maintenance is a MUST and it's advised to actually start and run these once every 2 to 3 months versus sticking them in the corner of your garage or in an outdoor shed. Be proactive and be prepared and run propane or natural gas when you can so you can have almost ZERO carburetore issues ever due to ethanol gas being left stagnant in the tank. Oh, and the Low Fuel light blinks in the video because it’s running on propane which no generator can tell how much is in the tank. If you use gas, it will show level. Ok, that's all. I recommend these generators. Just take care of them.

Worst purchase for inverter Generator

Stay away from Genmax. I am out $623.43 because of them. When I received the generator, I took it out of box and tested it on propane, but didn’t check gas. I put it back in box until my dad needed it. It runs on propane, but won’t crank on gas. So the company asked me to repair it myself and they sent a new carb and of course it was wrong. (See pic) So I ask that it get sent to shop to get correct carb installed or to replace unit…. They tell me if anything is found in carb I would be responsible for all repairs. This unit has never had gas in it until this week. I’m pass my return window dealing with all of this and company has been less than helpful. Save yourself some headache and go with a WEN generator or some other brand. Hope this saves someone some headache! Update: It has been over 2 months now and still no resolve from Genmax Support. They have sent me the wrong carb twice and I still don’t have a working generator in the start of hurricane season. Every product can have issues, but the support is essential. Good luck to you if you purchase a GenMax. 7/1/2024 Update Gemma’s support is TERRIBLE! Over 6 months now and in Hurricane Season and still don’t have a working generator. Save yourself a lot of trouble and stay away from Genmax. I had to order a WEN so I actually have a good generator. AVOID!

powers up more than enough things.

so convinient especially here in the Virgin islands where the power is always going off now more than ever. It has wheels, I gas it up, I run extention cord from it, close the door, and use the remote to turn it on and off. Only thing is fulling it up, you can't really tell if you are almost full have to keep stopping and going hoping the indicator is accurate. I power 4 bedrooms with their tvs, fans and lamp, as well as the living room with it's lamp wifi router and internet box. Some of us also has computers and monitors set to power on when power is out, it is not so loud, it has handles and I have not done much by way of maintenance. I'm sure it needs it, I wouldn't even know where to begin. dare I say I plug in the fridge too and the water pump and everything still comes on and works.

They work great and clean sine wave. I bought 2 to charge my Rivian R1T truck in areas without charge stations. I also bought the 50 amp Genmax kit and it keeps the generators in sync at the same output. These are low height and removed wheels and rubber bumpers to fit in the R1T gear tunnel. I have rubber pads I sit them on. The charger I bought is adjustable but moves up from 24 amp to 32. I run these on LP so setting on 32 amp causes overload so 24 is best. Wish the EV charger had 28 amp as it would be perfect. The splitvolt portable EV charger has the 50 amp plug and manual adjustment button for current. The display and remote start are very valuable to me.

Good Generator so far.

So far so good. I’ve put about 70 hours on the generator, and about 25-30% load. Starts right up, is relatively quiet. Oil is easy to change.

This generator works really well

I found this unit easy to prep for service. I really like the funnel design. I ran the 15000 btu ac on my fifthwheel on gasoline with no issues. I ran the same ac on propane with no problem. The unit started easily on both fuels. Switching fuels was very simple. The gas tank is small, but I ran my rv ac for around 6 hours per tank on multiple days. A 20lbs propane tank lasts a really long time.
