We were very excited to order and receive this product only to find that the wire included is very fragile and the metal posts are thin. This cage will not protect our chickens from predators because the wire is just not strong enough. The frame is very thin and bends easily. It was very easy to assemble the metal frame, but installing the wire was a pain in the backside. Seller needs to triple the amount of tie wraps they include due to inferior wire you had to tie wrap closer together. This was such a disappointment for the money we spent. ... show more

Update: I don't feel ripped off or anything. I went to order a second one and this was out of stock. After having that one to compare my opinion of this order dropped a bit. Price was about the same. The other came with real chicken wire, possibly still smaller gauge than normal? I'm not sure what's normal there. But it is worlds apart on strength. A small dog could jump on this one and bust right through the fence material it was sent with. Using such small gauge welded squares on this is an engineering mistake, straight up. There's just no strength nor durability there. I'd seek out one of the other similar sized pens and look at the pictures for chicken wire and go with that. Maybe this one will get updated. I'm satisfied with this purchase, but with some notes I figured were worth pointing out. It's price per sq ft is pretty great in my opinion. The frame assembles very quickly and easily. The netting is a bit more annoying to install, but I don't see a way around that. But speaking of, I don't think that material will keep out a predator of any sort. It's a coated wire, but such a small gauge that I think just about any animal that wanted to could easily break in to it. I don't consider this a fault because I wanted something light enough to move, and a heavier more sturdy material would quickly add a lot of weight. I plan on putting an electric fence around mine and I can just move both separately/easily. ... show more

    • Mixed feelings on if I would purchase again.
I truly like this product. It was very easy to put together and is fairly sturdy for what it is. The only problem I had is that I was missing poles and had to run to the local hardware store and purchase poles and cut them to size so I could finish the installation process. Was planning on purchasing another to extend my runner for my chickens but do to missing pieces I may go with a different brand. ... show more

    • Another double-talk ripoff
This product is delivered three weeks after order and comes in about 100 numbered pieces with no assembly instructions. Customer support is computer program that (1) connects to a guy with an Indian name, who tells you to return the product to Amazon for refund and hangs up; (2) tells you that sales fulfilled by Amazon are services by a special team for whom you should continue waiting; 3) tells you that there is no record of your Amazon order number; and (4) urges you to buy the product again for only $100 more than you already paid. Searching the Internet, you can find earlier assembly instructions for a different model, from which you can eventually figure out how to assemble your model; however, the very last piece is engineered incorrectly and requires a jury-rig to connect. Investigation suggests that Vevor is a multi-national financial holding company that buys up failed businesses around the world and dumps salvaged inventories on Amazon. There is no indication that this is a legitimate, on-going business. For that reason, even though I am happy with the product (despite its one design flaw), I will be using it as a model for using PVC pipes and connectors to build the other nine that I had intended to buy from Vevor for my new egg farm. ... show more

The size of the enclosure is good but the wire mesh is so thin you have to be careful not to tear it while Assembling the structure it definitely should come with a stronger material as it could possibly keep your chickens in but there is no way it will keep a predator out as you can tear the material with your hands. Disappointed in the quality of the mesh and now we have to buy other material to keep our animals safer so if I would have known I would have just chosen a different inclosure that has stronger materials. It was also went without the screws for the door areas! Which is Highly irritating ... show more

We only used this for a few days and immediately started a return and ordered something else. The fencing had to to be pieced together, it wasn’t large enough to cover a good amount of area. The frame is flimsy. One rain destroyed the tarp and fencing on top. Chickens escaped. The door and lock are VERY poor quality. I will not buy from this company again. I expect a full refund with my return. This is crap. ... show more

The frame is solid, but the wire and cable ties ("zip ties") don't have the same quality. The square wire is welded, not woven, so it's not as strong as other brands that included woven hexagonal wire mesh. The wire roll is much narrower than the middle rail on the frame, so it's much harder to assemble because you can't tie the top of the wire to the middle rail. The cable ties are not UV rated, so they will fail due to exposure to sunlight. I substituted a different brand of UV rated cable ties (green, to match the color of the wire). I used a lot of bailing twine to reinforce the seams between the different runs of wire, since cable ties alone won't make up for the lack of structure caused by the narrow wire roll. Three stars because I could make this work for my needs with modifications, but not as good as the one I bought to protect my garden. ... show more
