What a great find. I took a chance on this low cost hand-held jack hammer and it seriously exceeded my expectations. We dug holes with it, broke rock, and chipped away concrete. It's versatile, light weight, and gets the job done.

Holding back one star because it will take time to know how well it holds up. But this model does actually use grease for the working parts instead of an oil wick.. It does seem to work well so far and it does draw right at 14 amps and seems to be sturdy built

This Jack Hammer is (given the price point) much better than expected. Reduced a brick and concrete porch to rubble more easily than I expected. And without the need to swing a heavy hammer! I've used this Jack Hammer on other projects over the last 6 months and it continues to do the job. We had a landscaper doing some "hardscape" work at our house. Heavy stuff like boulder walls, granite fire pit carved into the underground ledge, cutting and shaping large boulders and ledge into steps and excavating the area with large equipment. This guy carves out and creates gas fire pits using a boulder! We were working on removing 18" from the top of a giant piece of underground ledge (20' x 30') and needed to shape and level the rock ledge to accommodate the seating. I mentioned to the contractor that I had this Jack Hammer, so we tried it and it worked very well to break up the granite ledge and complete the job. He was very impressed (again, given the price point) and was going to order one for himself. I realize there are larger, more robust jack hammers available, but you won't find one as compact, easy to use and cost effective as this one. The only issue (and it is minor) that I have had with this unit is the handle. It isn't well attached. I simply removed it, added some spacer material to create a tighter fit between the handle and the housing, re-installed and now it stays in place. I would have spent more money renting a tool to do the work, but, because I bought this one, I still have the tool! Highly recommend this product to anyone needing to break something up.

Started with the pointed bit and no issues busting up red shale. Switched to the chisel bit and worked fine for about 5 seconds when it twisted inside of the chuck and when the hammer hit, wedged it inside of the chuck. It is a hexagonal chuck and bit combination, not meant to be able to spin in the chuck. Definite design flaw and now I have a $70 demo hammer that will never work again. Recommend if you purchase this to grind the bits round before use.

Looking for a solution to digging holes for my wife's plants at our new home. Hard, firm clay. Tried a post hole digger and it just shaved clay. Thought about idea of a jack hammer and wondered if that was not too far out of the box. Then read a review by lady in New Mexico I think with same issue. Husband got this product and has been digging ever since. So I decided to give it a try. Bingo. Dug into the clay with the wide shovel like a knife on warm butter. Dug enough holes and loosed the dirt to keep my wife happy for a while. Do not know how well it would work on concrete, but for our needs it is tops. Update January 7, 2023. The jack hammer worked fine - until the pin that holds the tools in broke. Should be no problem - has a year warranty. In late fall, I went to the Vevor website and entered information for an issue. No answer. So December 29, I called the toll free number on the website. After a period, spoke with Karla R (evidently a third party vendor that responds to calls). She was quite nice. Requested my order information and a picture of the broken pin via text. I sent her the information and she texted back that she had received and the manufacturer would contact me via email the next morning. No email next morning. I text her back and advised no email. She responded that she sent another message to manufacture and I should hear back next morning. No email. I advised her of such. On January 2, she sent text saying "allow me to reach out and send a 2nd follow up request, I apologize for the delay on Vevors end. I have reached out to them please check your emails no later than tomorrow. " Five days later and still no response from Vevor. So if you decide to purchase this, looks like one cannot figure on any support from Vevor after the sale.
