Lots of power on this drill. The price at $90 was a steal.

    • Not actually 12 volts.
The 12V part of this has nothing to do with voltage, the M18 battery system uses 18 volts. Thus this is an 18 volt drill. It has plenty of power and stops quickly. Great for doing heavy drilling or boring. If you just want to screw in screws, this drill is entirely unnecessary.

I've owned several M12 and M18 drills, from compacts to brushless to Fuel. This drill is the culmination of all their work improving their drills. I like how it feels and I like the power. It will twist your arm if you're not careful. The way the clutch works takes a bit of getting used to, expecially if you're accustomed to the older style M18 and M12 cluthes. The side handle is a significant improvement over the old style. The price I bought mine at was what convinced me to pull the trigger--hopefully they'll keep the drill at that price. ... show more

Tool works well and does it's job. I don't use it all day every day but when I do use it it ranges from drilling a few simple small holes to drilling concrete for anchor studs. Price was good and the tool works so I can't complain.

The difference between this model and the original is nothing short of amazing. It seems smoother, more powerful, more efficient, and cost not much more than the one I finally wore out.

    • Good and functional, but
Of all the hand drill I have, the weak link is in the chuck. Including this one, the drill bit would not run true once fastened onto the chuck. It works on projects where precisions are not needed, but I prefer a drill that will run true. This one does not.
