I already own the corded Dewalt hammer drill and it does a fantastic job. Drills through concrete like cutting through butter with a hot knife. However, on some jobsites I would need to run up to a 100' extension cord to get power to my work area. My work van is loaded to the gills already and lugging around a 100' heavy duty (10-3) extension cord takes up valuable space. However, I was worried that the 20V version might not be as powerful as the corded version and I was also worried that the batteries wouldn't last through an entire job. I found out very quickly that my worries were misplaced. I already own several Dewalt 20V tools and all of them work fantastic but drilling holes in concrete can beat up wimpy tools. Not this baby. The first job I used this on was installing eight loading dock bumpers. Keep in mind that concrete mix at loading docks is extremely heavy duty to withstand trucks backing in and forklift traffic. To install eight bumpers I needed to drill 48 - 1/2" diameter holes about 7" deep. Not an easy task even for the corded version. This drill ran through 48 holes on one single battery charge and worked as good or better than the Dewalt corded version. It's more compact and I didn't have to worry about running extension cords. I normally don't get too excited about power tools but this tool got me excited. It's awesome. I wouldn't trade it for anything. So, if you need a hammer drill that holds up extremely well, doesn't need cords, is compact and drills into concrete like cutting through butter this is it. Look no further. You will NOT be disappointed. This is the gold standard in cordless hammer drills for sure. From this point on all my power tools will be yellow and black. ... show more

Amazing tool! Own a carpentry co specializing in commercial/industrial projects and use this everyday. Have literally drilled 200 1/4” holes on a single battery setting HM frames. We have several Bosch and makita corded sds hammer drills and this baby drills smoother (less vibration), weighs less, and is obviously way easier to use being cordless. Batteries have long run time but pair with 60v max Flexvolt and run for hours interrupted. 200 holes referred above was on 20v that comes with tool! ... show more

This is a great tool for light to mid duty use. Battery life is good and having the case is great with some extra room inside. Really wish Dewalt would make their chargers universal in some way so you could charge from a car charger.

I had doubts whether I'll give this a lot of use for home use only or not, at least to the extent that juatifies the price and shipping costs to Saudi. I have no regrets! I live in an old villa which is built with rock solid concrete that it was almoat impossible to drill with a regular hammer drill. This beast drill through the walls like butter! I consider myself as a woman with limited physical strength 🥲 but i had no trouble using it through out the house even standing to ladders. Buy it if u need a cordless SDS drill! ... show more

Excellent tool with variable speed, reverse, 3 modes and plenty of portable battery power. Takes the place of 3 different air powered tools I have to do specialized concrete work at much less cost. Carbide SDS drills with a cross point easily goes thru concrete containing rebar. Big plus that this comes with two batteries, charger & case. Good job Dewalt ... show more
