The reviewers overall highlight the stellar quality and high value of the product. The tool kit is celebrated for its great power, efficient battery life, and practical utility for daily tasks. Some reviewers expressed that they find the tools are much superior to other brands like Ryobi, Ridgid, and DeWalt which they had previously used.

Pros

  • 🔨 High Quality and Value - Many reviews recognize the product for its top-notch quality and great worth.
  • 🔧 Excellent Battery Life - The kit received tremendous praise for its fantastic battery life.
  • 👍 Comfortable Daily Usage - Users find it incredibly convenient for daily tasks, proving its utility.
  • 💪 High Power - The tools in the kit are uniquely recognized for their great power output.

Cons

  • 😐 Tool Switch Location - One reviewer pointed out that the location of the "forward/off/reverse" switch on the tool is not convenient and it's easy to mistakenly hit it.
  • 💸 Price - Although they think it's worth it, a few reviewers believe that the kit is overpriced.

Should I Buy It?

Overall, if you're looking for a high-quality, durable, and powerful tool kit with excellent battery life, this product is definitely worth considering. While some minor cons are mentioned, they seem nominal compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback. Hence, buying this product seems like a great investment.

  • These are good tools
I purchased this kit because I have some Ridgid tools that I was not happy with. They seemed to be good tools, but the battery life was short. Even though I have lifetime warranty with them, I got tired of going through the routine of taking the tool (now) to Home Depot, sending it in, waiting for evaluation. and going back to the store to pick it up. Milwaukee has a better reputation than Ridgid and DeWalt and Ryobi. They're better tools. The only complaints I have are the length of the warranty on the tools and batteries, and the other kits they offer. All their other kits offer the same impact driver and the 1/2" hammer drill in the kits with other tools. If I want 2 other kits because of the other tools, I will wind up with 3 impact drivers and 3 1/2 " hammer drills. I wish they'd put together some other kits. The drill and impact driver I bought are quite powerful, although the "forward/off/reverse" switch location is bad, it's too easy to accidentally hit it and turn off or reverse the driver. ... show more

  • Fantastic quality and value
I use this kit daily at my job and it has been fantastic. Battery life is great, and both the drill and impact have a great amount of power. I use the drill mostly drilling out broken fasteners and it has never let me down. The impact gets used for nuts, bolts, self tappers, etc. Very rarely do I find a fastener it cannot break free, within reason. I also love that I can charge my 12v batteries without having to use two chargers. Overall a huge win. ... show more

  • So powerful and compact!
I'm really impressed with the driver and drill. The driver makes quick work of long screws and dense wood: wall studs, dock posts, etc. We've also used the drill to raise an F-150 on a scissor jack, and the driver to loosen frozen bolts on the truck. The driver's short body meant I could squeeze into a tight space on a new bathroom vanity to drive a screw that my older driver would've been too big for. ... show more

  • Very tough
I’ve been using Milwaukee M18 fuel tools at my job for a while now. I decided to upgrade my tools at home. First the drill, it is tough! My last cordless drill struggled with hole saw bits. This Milwaukee drill is very tough and had lots of power to cut the hole I needed. I haven’t used the hammer drill function yet but I’m sure it’s not quite as good as an actual hammer drill. The impact is also very strong. I like how I can select the speed/torque of the impact just like the drill. The medium speed worked good for all of my screws. I also used the 4th setting which is for sheet metal screws. The impact knows when the screw is fully seated so there is no issue with trying to drive the screw in further. I would definitely recommend for any professional or DIYer. Amazon beat out everyone else’s price at the time I purchased this. ... show more

  • great product, great pricing!
as advertised... the tools are a bit heavy with the big batteries attached. Not a problem for the drill, but I will probably use a smaller batter on the impact/screw gun and save the 5.0 batteries for the drill. The reason I bought this set is I have a Large Dewalt set that includes the big drill/hammer drill, and the drill is very heavy and a little much for smaller jobs. I think this drill being a little smaller and lighter will be more handy for smaller jobs. ... show more

  • Great Buy!
Did a lot of research on my own (not knowing anything about tools) and finally decided on this drill set. Bought as a gift for my bf and he was blown away. He wanted a drill set for some time and confessed that he actually had this brand in mind. But he was very impressed with this set. Loves the hard case and the started going off in “man speak” about the features. I’m so happy. ... show more

  • Major Trigger Problem on 3rd Gen
I’ve owned Milwaukee tools for years. I had the same set but second gen, I beat the snot out of them. Used them hard for years. They made me a die hard Milwaukee guy. Those tools sat in the rain, snow, got dropped and they still kept going. I decided recently to sell them to a buddy and upgrade to third gen M18 kit (this item) Bad idea. The impact driver is 100% but the drill has a problem with the trigger. I’ve bought and returned 4 different sets of them two from Amazon two from HD. The drill trigger binds and if you pull it rapidly the drill shuts off. Sometimes when doing woodwork I feather the trigger, this is extremely annoying! Come on Milwaukee! I am considering going back to DeWalt even though I know their tools are inferior. (See my comment to review for update on this issue) ... show more
