    • A great heavy duty drill for concrete and rock probing.

I bought this drill last year so I could probe for rocks before trying to drive steel t-posts 2 feet deep. It works well for that and can hammer through sediment and sandstone well enough to be able to drive posts manually. After I bought this, my M-I-L told me the threshold of her basement door needed to be replaced. I checked it out and their builder didn't attach the threshold to the concrete floor, it held loosely in place with staplesgoing into the sides of the door frame. I used a shop vac on tbe floor to control tbe concrete dust, drilled 1/4 inch pilot holes through the threshold and into tbe concrete, then 1/2 holes directly into the concrete to hold barrel type bolt anchors. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes and this drill, with good masonry bits, goes through concrete as easily as my 18v DeWalt drills through pine - seriously, it's that good! ... show more

I’m kicking myself in the rear for not buying this earlier, what a game changer!! One wall of my house is 14” pored concrete and I needed two 1-1/2 holes drilled. This drill ate through that with no problem in 10min. Have wore out two heavy duty drills with a “Hamer mode” and my patience which I gained back thanks to this drill. This drills performance surprised me. It is on par with the corded hilti drills we use at work. It is so much lighter and smoother to use as well. I think of all my battery tools of which I have many, this one is probably the most impressive by far.
