  • Powerful, versatile, and surprisingly compact — professional performance in a manageable format Powerful, versatile, and surprisingly compact — professional performance in a manageable format
Style: Rotaty Hammer Only
I have been using the DeWalt DCH273 SDS Rotary Hammer in concrete drilling work, masonry, and some light demolition tasks, and the experience has been very positive in all key aspects. The first thing that stands out is its very good power. Despite being a relatively compact tool, it has the capacity to drill hard materials easily, maintaining constant and reliable performance. The impact force is notable, which allows rapid progress in drilling without having to apply excessive pressure. Another strong point is its chiseling function, which greatly expands its range of use. It is not only for drilling, but also for material removal or adjustments on surfaces, which makes it a very versatile tool for construction and maintenance. In terms of ergonomics, it is surprising how compact and relatively lightweight it is for the power it offers. This facilitates handling in tight spaces and reduces fatigue during long workdays or overhead work. It is a very well-achieved balance between power and maneuverability. At the design level, it also stands out: it has a very attractive visual appearance, with robust finishes that convey quality and durability, something characteristic of the brand. If there were a point to consider, it would be that, like any tool of this type, it is not designed for heavy demolition or extreme continuous use like a dedicated demolition hammer. But within its category, it performs outstandingly. Conclusion: A powerful, versatile, and easy-to-handle rotary hammer, ideal for professional work in concrete and masonry. It stands out for its balance between performance, size, and functionality. Would I buy it again? Without a doubt. It is a reliable and very complete tool that performs perfectly in daily use. ... show more

  • Hot knife through butter.
Style: Rotaty Hammer Only
Another solid tool from Dewalt. Currently drilling 5/8”. It’s like a hot knife through butter. In fact it was so easy that I had to stay focused to make sure I didn’t drill too deep. Never had a rotary hammer work so well. At first I thought that perhaps I shouldn’t spend this much money, but I’m so glad I did. ... show more

  • Powerful and Reliable Rotary Hammer Drill for DIY Projects
Style: Rotaty Hammer Only
The DEWALT 20V MAX SDS Rotary Hammer Drill has become my go-to tool for heavy-duty tasks around the house. As someone who frequently tackles DIY projects, this drill has proven to be both powerful and versatile. I recently used it for drilling into concrete for a new shelving unit in my garage, and the performance was exceptional. The drill handled the tough material with ease, making the job much quicker and less strenuous. The three application modes are a standout feature, allowing for easy switching between drilling, hammer drilling, and chiseling, depending on the task at hand. The cordless design adds a layer of convenience I didn’t realize I was missing. No more being tethered to an outlet or dealing with extension cords. The battery life is impressive, providing ample power for extended use without frequent recharges. One minor downside is that it’s a bit heavier than my previous drill, but the extra weight seems to contribute to its robust build and powerful performance. The ergonomics are well thought out, with a comfortable grip that reduces fatigue during prolonged use. In essence, this DEWALT rotary hammer drill has made my DIY endeavors smoother and more efficient. Its blend of power, versatility, and cordless convenience is perfect for tackling a wide range of home improvement projects. ... show more

  • Worth the price portable drill.
Style: Rotaty Hammer Only
With the correct bits this thing blasts thru concrete. Sds plus bits are the only drawback, I bought and had Hilti bits with 3 sides and this requires the dual slot type. Great portable and effective battery durability. I had many batteries and the tool came without one. It doesn't eat thru the battery though. I put in 22 , 4" inch deep holes on one charge. ... show more

  • Powerful & Efficient Cordless Performer!

DEWALT DCH273B delivers robust power cordlessly. Smooth mode transitions, lightweight design, and pro-level durability make drilling effortless. Lacks battery inclusion, but a must-have for serious tasks. ★★★★☆

  • A great heavy duty drill for concrete and rock probing.
Style: Rotaty Hammer Only
I bought this drill last year so I could probe for rocks before trying to drive steel t-posts 2 feet deep. It works well for that and can hammer through sediment and sandstone well enough to be able to drive posts manually. After I bought this, my M-I-L told me the threshold of her basement door needed to be replaced. I checked it out and their builder didn't attach the threshold to the concrete floor, it held loosely in place with staplesgoing into the sides of the door frame. I used a shop vac on tbe floor to control tbe concrete dust, drilled 1/4 inch pilot holes through the threshold and into tbe concrete, then 1/2 holes directly into the concrete to hold barrel type bolt anchors. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes and this drill, with good masonry bits, goes through concrete as easily as my 18v DeWalt drills through pine - seriously, it's that good! ... show more
