We have done quail, ducks, and chickens in this incubator. Each time we have had great hatch rates. It’s easy to use & requires ver minimal maintenance after the initial load up, till lock down. The temp and humidity is pretty much controlled automatically. Occasionally I’d spray some water to increase humidity but not often. The egg turning works great as well. My only complaint is that I wish they had a bigger size!

I wanted to love this incubator and it was promising at first when we had almost all the eggs hatch on the first run. However, the second batch we didn’t have any hatch and all the eggs looked were completely undeveloped. The third batch less than half hatched. The fourth time all were only partially developed. I kept thinking it was user error so I kept trying and very carefully researching and doing everything I read to do and not to do. I concluded that the temperature readings and humidity readings must be incorrect and heat up correctly at first or there’s just inconsistency in actual temperatures because the eggs feel cold about half way through a cycle probably about the time they stop developing. I wouldn’t recommend this incubator as it just plainly isn’t doing as it is supposed to do and I’m very dissatisfied especially since it’s past the return time frame and we have a family business that depends on the incubation of chicks and this one just isn’t working.

Easy to use. We just hatched out our first Quail. The one we bought holds 24 eggs. Only 4 didn't hatched out. The incubator works great when you follow the instructions.

I had an ancient large Styrofoam incubator from years back. When this came on sale, I decided to try it. The instructions are definitely lacking, so I visited Vevor's website to see if I could get more info. There is an FAQ section that might help some. But by looking at the photos and illustrations, I further figured out what I was doing wrong. I had put ALL the 6 turning bars in and the turner was not working. Plus, the eggs didn't really sit correctly. From the photo, I saw that only 5 of the 6 bars were in place. Voila! That solved my issue. The rotation light came on and all is well. Apparently they give an extra bar. Also, they include jumper cable type wires in case one needs to hook up to a car battery. Hmmm... I have a dozen eggs in there and we'll see how we fare in 21 days. This is definitely easier than my old one. The temp is pre set. I feel it might run a little high, but only by 1/2 a degree or so. It can be adjusted, but I will leave it for this batch and see. It is easy to monitor and adjust humidity. And regardless of what vevor says, humidity DOES matter when the chicks are hatching. So do your homework and watch the humidity per the egg types being hatched. I do like the compact size. I can put this right on the kitchen counter and it's hardly noticeable. I give 4 stars because of the difficulty in figuring out the initial set up. The manual doesn't tell the whole story, and for me, set up wasn't totally intuitive.

It works. I set the temp and kept the humidity high and 21 days later, I had 7 of 8 eggs hatching chicks. The 8th was apparently not fertalized and therefore no fault of the incubator. I just wish the candling light worked better.

The instructions for programming the incubator were pretty straightforward but didn't have any other information. I almost returned it because of the lack of information. I decided to give it a chance and ended up with 100% hatch rate for my first attempt. Now that I have used it once I understand how it works better and expect to get good results again in the future.

We have used a smaller incubator for years and decided to try this larger one this year. 1 Unit randomly dropped temp, even after multiple resets of system. 2 When temp was stable the unit would just beep for no discernible reason until reset. 3 The power supply that plugs into wall stopped working on day seven, Luckily they had included a 12v battery connector to use. But unit still would randomly shutoff or beep. We read the book several times and followed the instructions but still lost the chicks after all. I can’t recommend anyone to use this product the units cost was acceptable but the loss of chicks is too much on the heart. It is going back to the manufacturer today.
