I finally got a chance to try this cover out in the rain. It has four flaps: one covering the handle on top, which is convenient for carrying the generator with the cover on, one on the side for starting, and one on each end. I tried it out on my Wen 56203i, a 2000 watt portable generator. It was a bit baggy, but covered the generator well, but loosely, protecting the outlets from the rain when the flaps were down. It is made from heavy duty waterproof cloth (Dacron?), which is strong and durable. It was easy to install by slipping over the generator, having elastic bands at the bottom to keep it in place like a fitted sheet. My only concern, for which it loses a star, is that it needs some sort of bungy or velcro strap on the exhaust side to hold the top flap up. There is an attachment to hold the flap up on the cover, but there needs to be something to hold the cover up on the exhaust side as well, possibly to the handle. In a strong wind (which there was) the cover flutters around and potentially sags down over the exhaust, which would cause it to melt. If you wanted this cover on a windy day, I'd be worried about that. Perhaps with a smaller cover or a larger generator, the sagging would not be a problem, but I wouldn't want to run my little 2000 watt generator on a windy day with this cover on. Just keeping it dry during a light rain would not be a problem

Well thought out and perfect if you have the Honda generator... and pretty darn good if you have one that's similar. I don't own a Honda generator, but a similar, generic model that fills a similar role. Truth be told this generator sits most of the year in the garage without any use at all. But, when the occasion arises it needs to be ready. To that end I discovered that I needed something to keep the dust and dirt from accumulating from sitting in the garage for months at a time. Spotted this and although I don't own a Honda, the dimensions and layout were generic enough to take a chance. Both the back, front and 1 side panel fasten down with velcro to protect the unit from dust buildup when not in use. One can then either easily take the cover off, or roll the sides up and put the unit to use. Even has a access to the top to grab the handle when lifting/moving the generator. Neat pocket on the side allows easy storage for tools. Just a well thought out design. If you want to protect your generator (Honda or similar) this is a hard package to top as it is built well, cost effective, and provides the protection your investment deserves for those long times when it's not in active use.

I have tried a few cheap plastic/velcro generator covers before, and this is one of the better ones. It gives you a lot of options for accessing your generator, as each side has a window that can roll up. I was surprised that it was actually a little bit small for my desired use. I ended up putting it on an Ecoflow Smart Generator 4k, which is small-to-midsize for inverter generators. It kind of fits, but not perfectly (of course, it's not designed to fit perfectly). For my needs, I ended up using zip ties to help stretch the fabric as needed. I think this is a great cover for the money, and it should work for most similarly sized generators.

This is a nice fit for a Honda EU2000i, it obviously looks like it was made for it. Does it look great? It's a soft shell enclosure that fits well, so it's fine. We don't need this to be a fashion show. There's elastic around the bottom to keep it securely in place. All four sides have flaps that open or Velcro closed, as needed. The material is thick enough and everything feels right enough to keep the weather out when it isn't in use. So, the protection offered is good for a soft shell enclosure. One side has a pocket, so you can store some items in it, if needed. It feels like it will be plenty durable for the intended purpose; basic protection outdoors from the elements.
