  • Cheap but worth it!!!!
Style: 25.4CC 12inch
I was extremely skeptical over the saw. I wanted a cheap saw because I don’t do a ton of wood cutting, but I wanted a dependable one. After reading the reviews about this saw and watching YouTube videos, I decided to buy it. What a wonderful decision that was. I used it for about three hours straight and it ran beautifully. Has great power and perfect for a homeowner. If you’re looking for a saw for around the yard at a reasonable price this is it. ... show more

  • BEWARE THIS SAW AND VEVOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Style: 58CC 20inch
**★☆☆☆☆ Never operated properly, and warranty service was far more difficult than it should have been.** I purchased this chainsaw in March 2026. It has been used only four or five times for very light work, and the fuel tank has only been filled twice. From the very first use, the saw was extremely difficult to start. Once started, it would not idle and had to be kept revved to stay running. It also would not restart when warm without partially engaging the choke. These problems existed from the day I purchased it and never improved. I contacted customer service expecting a straightforward warranty claim. Instead, I was initially asked to perform mechanical troubleshooting on a nearly new chainsaw, including removing parts and following procedures that should be performed by a qualified service technician. After I explained that the saw had never functioned correctly and provided a video demonstrating the problem, I was offered a $29 partial refund to find my own repair technician. Anyone familiar with small engine repair knows that $29 doesn't even cover the cost of diagnosing the problem, much less repairing it. Only after several rounds of emails did VEVOR finally offer either a replacement or a full refund, but even then I had to clarify that they would provide a prepaid return shipping label. I still have to drain the fuel and bar oil, package the saw, and take it to a shipping location because the product was defective from the beginning. I recognize that VEVOR ultimately agreed to honor the warranty, and I appreciate that. However, the amount of time and effort required to reach that point was far greater than it should have been for a product that never worked properly. Based on both the quality of the chainsaw and my warranty experience, I cannot recommend this product. ... show more

  • Affordable and Reliable
Style: 58CC 20inch
The saw worked perfectly. High quality. I have other vevor tools and going forward, I will buy only vevor tools because they are as good as the big name companies in some cases even better but are way more affordable. I recommend vecor tools any day of the week.

  • Starts very easy!
Style: 62CC 20inch
Starts fairly easy; does not having a primer bulb, but with the choke on for 2-3 priming pulls and then half choke, it usually starts in 1-2 pulls. The pull cord is made in a way that it does not require a lot of strength to pull, and seems to store energy then release it. The saw does vibrate a lot, but if you were gloves eye protection and hearing protection you’ll be fine. Decent saw for the price, but be careful with it! Also, the scrench holder in the handle is awesome, but sometimes it is a bit hard to get out. I would also suggest a carb tuning kit and tuning the carb slightly; out of the box mine needed to warm up to run good, but now it’s ok to use pretty much right off startup! ... show more

  • Good enough chainsaw, Amazon so so and hopefully review has helpful info.
Style: 62CC 20inch
A rating of 3.5 stars would be most accurate. But I rounded up since the saw did exceed what was rather low expectations on my part. Based on reviews, this seems to rather a lottery type purchase. There is roughly 75% chance you'll love the saw and a roughly 25% chance you'll regret the purchase. I don't regret the purchase. Why? And why my low initial expectations? It was going to cost $72 a day to rent a 20" gas chainsaw from Home Depot. With transportation and waiting I'd be out a couple of hours every time I rented one. So basically if this saw worked for two days I'd save both time and money. I've used the saw three days now. And day three was the best in terms of ease of starting. So....exceeds expectations. Now a few things to go over 1) It can be finicky about starting. No surprise for small two stroke engines. It floods easily so the Choke IS NOT your friend. Ignore the instructions VEVOR sends on starting. Follow the internet advice. Cold it's switch on - (and "O" is the OFF position) choke out, pull twice, push choke in and pull till it starts (usually 2-4 times). If it doesn't start repeat the steps. It FLOODS EASY!!! Do not leave the choke out more than 2-3 pulls. The advice for starting it if it has flooded is like the game of twister. You have to hold the throttle wide open while you crank it. But to start normally and safely you need a foot and both hands. Holding the throttle wide open needs a third hand. Get help. Once it's been running a while it starts easy first pull. EXCEPT if you let it run out of gas. Then cross your fingers because it probably will take lots of pulls and sweating to get it going again. So I learned to use it for a while then turn it off and top off the tank. 2) As some other reviews have mentioned, the saw I got leaks bar oil when stored. Makes it a bit messy. I've put a plastic tray underneath it like people use pet food/water bowls. Saw lives in my yard barn which is messy anyway so not a horrid problem. But it is a defect and if you keep your yard tools inside a nice. clean shop or garage you might want to place it on something to catch any oil leaking until you know if you got one that does leak. 3) The saw does cut really well. I don't have enough experience with gas chainsaws to compare to the more expensive brands. It seems unlikely the much more expensive brands of chainsaws cut way better since this one does really seem to have plenty of power and cuts thick and hard wood quickly. It's way, WAY more powerful and faster cutting than my 14" electric (plug in) chainsaw. 4) Amazon won't let you return this if you get a defective one. Other - brick and mortar retailers with lots of locations - sell this same saw online at similar prices and it can be returned. Often online and always to a store. If it's gas powered Amazon say it's hazardous to ship back. Hmmm. They shipped it to me.... Anyway - keep this in mind and maybe it should be purchased somewhere else or maybe it's especially wise to purchase the warranty. Amazon doesn't want it back but the insurance will cover either fixing it or give $$ back. ... show more

  • Better than expected!
Style: 62CC 20inch
Had this saw for only a week now Cut down 4 large trees already. Fired up right out of the box. Has started and ran perfectly every time we asked. The saw is a bit heavy for most, but that weight was one of the reasons we bought it. When used to take advantage of that weight, the 62cc motor really shows. Buying another as a wedding gift. ... show more

  • Needs Lock Nuts for the Clutch/Chain Cover
Style: 58CC 20inch
This is a great saw for the money. I bought the 58cc/20" variety. It has great power but it is a bit thirsty because of it. It started on the 3rd pull right out of the box and runs great. The handle assembly feels cheap and I often hit the kill switch with my thumb as it is very close to the handle. My only real issue is keeping the chain tight and the cover on. My first use I lost one of the nuts for the chain tensioner/cover and the other came loose. It ruined the chain so I replaced that and tried again. If I make the nuts too tight the chain binds up. So I used a lock nut I had in stock and the remaining original one. My next use saw the remaining original nut loose and gone and my lock nut holding the cover on. Otherwise the saw is a beast. It easily cuts thick logs. It always starts easily and runs great. I would recommend it. It is tought to beat for the price. ... show more
