After researching E bikes for three months, we purchased the Velowave with the fat tires so that we could ride on all types of surfaces. From pavement to sand, the bike did not disappoint. The bike is heavy, but it also provides a very stable ride when traversing bumps and uneven surfaces. The battery range is phenomenal and we have never gotten close to running out of battery power on our 20 mile outings every other day. The battery assist has 5 settings-1, you have to provide a considerable amount of force to move the bike and 5 needs very little assist to get the bike moving. We use the bikes primarily for exercise. I had my knee replaced a couple of years ago and my wife had back surgery last year. The bikes give us the confidence to continue exercise knowing if we need to stop at any time, the bikes can assist us back home.

This electric bike is fantastic, enjoyable, and simple to use. I enjoy riding mountain bikes, going to the beach, and playing in the snow in the winter, so I purchased this electric bike. It seems like this bike can handle any kind of weather or terrain, which is why I chose it. I love it to the fullest! What I enjoy most, I can go to the beach and go mountain biking on the same day. When I needs a little extra assistance, such as climbing a steep hill or navigating soft sand on the beach, I can ride the bike normally and switch to the electric function. In addition to the regular bike mode, it also includes two other modes: pedal assistance and full electric. It has a tool kit, ensuring that I always feeling ready. Since it is rustproof, it may go anytime and anywhere. possesses a powerful, long-lasting 750 watt brushless motor. It has a replaceable 48 volt battery that makes everything incredibly simple and lasts a long time on a charge. It has seven speeds and a top speed of 30 mph, which is amazing for a bike. It includes 26-inch fat tires for stability and durability and LED front and rear lighting for safety. For what it can achieve, this bike's durability is unmatched. Additionally, this VELOWAVE electric bike includes a fantastic smart climbing angle feature that you can change for ease of climbing any hill. I purchased this bike a week ago, put it together and charged the battery. When I put the battery in the bike it would not turn on. I tried charging it again for a few hours. Same result. I reached out to customer service and went through a series of tests to troubleshoot the problem. Determined that it was the battery and they shipped me a new one. Happy to have it resolved and love the bike.

This is my second e-bike. I upgraded my bike to this one for the fatter tires and side step-in. This bike takes the bumps with ease, it's a smooth ride. I am very happy with it. I also have better control with this bike on dirt and gravel. I wasn't quite ready for the weight (95 pounds) and need help lifting it onto my bike carrier, but I don't usually ride alone anyway, so there is always someone there to help.

Where we live, there’s a lot of hills. This bike takes them effortlessly. My 33 year old son came over yesterday. He rode around the hills and couldn’t believe how easy it was taking those hills. I would definitely buy this bike again.

Since the bike just arrived yesterday, I haven't had a chance to ride it since the ON/OFF switch will not function if the battery is in its compartment. It appears that clearances are not adequate for the ignition interlock to function properly. The attached photographs show that in an effort to meet those clearances, excessive force was used installing the battery receptacle plate. At this point I'm waiting to hear back from the manufacturer (in Hong Kong) as to where we go from here. It would be of great benefit if there was a service center located within the US, and my two star rating will probably improve dramatically once I get a chance to ride this machine. I'll do a followup rating of this Velowave e-bike, focusing on their support capabilities, as soon as I have experience with that aspect of their company. UPDATE: I feel it's important to recognize a company when their customer service and after sale support deserve mention. Velowave support responded to me within 24 hours of my initial contact and, after a review of the situation immediately shipped replacement parts and a link to a video explaining how to easily change them. In a quick run through of the procedure, I realized how well constructed and designed for easy maintenance this bike is! So, now with confidence in the quality of both construction and customer support of Velowave, my wife will get that Prado S that she wants so badly!

The bike is very sturdy and rides nicely. Suitable for adults and teens. Twist handle gears on right and acceleration paddle on left. A couple things slipped through their quality control for which I had to contact them. Service contacted me back within 24hrs (China time don't forget) which was nice. They bent over backwards to help and accommodated me with my request and got me what I needed very quickly. Accessories were quick to come and help with assembly if required was given in for of an instruction video which is not with the part. It was given as soon as I asked for it. All in all ended up with what I was looking for and a better experience than friends had with other manufactures.
