For the right location, this is a great door handle. For a simple installation, I expect this will take most people about half an hour to install, including setting up the app with various access methods. In the end I discovered that this is not the perfect solution for me, but not because it is bad at anything it does. My exterior doors are the ones I want to manage access to. My front door has a large latch-type handle without a lock, then a deadbolt. The other exterior doors each have a locking handle plus a deadbolt above it. I realized that this door handle isn't actually beneficial in any of those locations! If the deadbolt is locked then the keypad access isn't very helpful. We have had automated deadbolts in the past. They started to malfunction after a couple of years of use, so we stopped using them. Unfortunately, the interior knob for those deadbolts is oversized. I did install this handle, but then I had to remove the deadbolt in order to complete the installation. Apparently someone got rid of the unused interior deadbolt pieces (grrr!) so I can't swap out the oversized knobs. So this doesn't fit on my doors! Even if you, like me, prefer to have deadbolts on your exterior doors, there are other uses for this handle. If you have an office space that's off limits (especially if you have young children!), a particular room that's kept locked during the holidays to protect "the north pole", a closet containing unsafe chemicals or tools... Even though this wont' work on my exterior doors, I plan to use it for one of those sorts of applications in my home. I did set this up completely, all the way to the cards and pin and fingerprint. I couldn’t be happier with how well it works for my needs. I mainly use it on my bedroom door for extra privacy, and it has been a total game-changer.     • Extra layer of security, easy to install
Love love love this device. Im not that handy of a person and it took me about 45 minutes to install (of course i had to move my deadbolt around and other obstacles not related to the product) but the installation is easy and pretty straight forward it can be done quicker in about 10 or 15 minutes. I recommend a drill too. It comes with all the parts needed except the 8 AA batteries for the doorlock (the manual says do not close the door while working on it, the lock is always in lock so keep the key handy otherwise you are locked out until you finish setting it up on your phone). The look is modern and sleek. It lights up so at nightyou can see the numbers. It has two keys and two tags. The manuals are in a booklet or on a video tutorial. Installing the app and setting up the code is easy, literally step by step instructions and its quick. Each account can have an individual passcode but only one máster code. Best part is it works. Unlocking from the phone, using the passcode and the key. And the door talks, very low, but it will tell you "door locked" or "access granted". Highly recommend. It gives you an extra layer of security. For those that work from home and need to unlock the door you can do it from your phone or for those with kids that come home from school, its better than a key they can lose.     • Great looking very functional smart lock
Installed this on my garage door leading inside. I wanted to replace my old deadbolt lock that relied on a key with something easier since we constantly use this door. I really appreciate the number of methods you can use like fingerprint recognition, key code and app. This did take me some time to install (30+ minutes) but once its done its done. Reversing the handle was a breeze. This unit is a total bargain compared to other units I was considering, and honestly it's not as durable but others were 2+ times the price so you are getting a lot fo quality for the money.
