The media could not be loaded. Appears to be nicely made and I put it on myself with an old screwdriver in about 15 minutes. Someone who had done it before would take 5-10 - it's very easy! I installed on a metal door. It is an older version without a thumbprint, however it has mini fobs which are easy to set. You download an app on your phone to set all the key numbers etc that can be punched in, as well as being able to use the fobs. You can actually purchase a gateway so you can control the lock when not in your location, for about $40, however I chose not to as this was for a getaway condo. I got an amazon deal for about $90 instead of the around $300 I normally spend on the schlage version! ... show more

I’ve been using this for a few weeks, and I am thoroughly pleased with it. The hardware seems to be very good quality and using the keypad is a breeze for guests. The app and fobs make unlocking and locking very simple. I would buy this brand again.

Installing the lock was very easy. Setting up the software was a little more challenging l, but made it without a call to tech support. I decided to purchase the WiFi gateway, as that will greatly expand the capabilities.

This is the 3rd Veise smart lock that I have gotten. I got this one for my sister since she was jealous of the one i had. She really liked the key fob access instead of having to put in the pin code in order to get in. This one as a bit harder to install than the previous two that i had done, but that was only because her door was actually not set up correctly by whomever originally installed the door, so i had to actually drill some wider holes, which was not necessary on the previous doors, which were simply swapping the equipment. App set up was easy enough for my sister, and was able to program the fobs, and the door code easily through the app. These door locks DO NOT connect to the internet on their own, they only connect to your phone (or a gateway if you want to buy one separately). I personally find this to be a nice feature as there are too many internet connected things in homes already. I HIGHLY recommend this brand for any smart lock application you are looking for. ... show more
