I feel the Questar3 is true to size (for length) and well made for the price. However, I feel that there's a bit too much interior volume in the toebox compared to my other running shoes (ASICS Dynablast3 and Excite9). After cinching up the laces the upper buckles just forward of the laces instead of remaining smooth over the top of my insteps. The stiffness of the sole and heel counters is causing some heel slippage which I have had to "fine tune" away by using a thicker insole from an old pair of running shoes and also trying different lacing patterns on the last 3 eyelets at the top of the shoe. Thicker socks also help. My toes are in the right place so I don't need to go a half size down. The insoles that came with the shoe are laughably thin. Plan on replacing them or adding the insoles scavenged from an old pair of shoes. I use these for walking, not running. I thought they would be a good inexpensive choice for walking because of the large areas of thick rubber on the outsole. These Questar3 shoes are durable, but very firm. I wouldn't want to run in them, but they are stable for walking because of the firmness. UPDATE: Much, much better after 3 weeks of break-in through daily walking of around 2.5 miles per day. Still firm, but I don't need to cinch them down so tightly to prevent the heel slippage. Enjoy them a lot more after the break-in. ... show more

So far good shoes. They are a low top and feel low on the back of your heel, might not be great for running. Seems to fit well.

I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis and was going to be walking a lot on our trip. Couldn’t find any shoes that allow pain free walking. Tried these out. 4 days of straight up walking and gel heel pads in the shoes, was life changing. Straight out of the box too. I’m a size 9 in women’s and bout 7.5 in men’s. I could have probably even got 7. A bit on the bigger side but needed the extra room for my gel heel insert. Fantastic shoes. Taking them to Mexico too lol. ... show more
