My elderly dad (92) who I am caring for has horrible sleep habits, he is awake for 3-hours then sleeps for 2...all day long! He does not like the blinds or curtains open (even on a beautiful day) and he just likes to sit and watch tv in his room or play cards on his computer. He has no sense of time and a couple months ago, completely lost a week...he thought it was February when we were already a week into March. I ordered him this clock and installed it, he likes it with the red, white and blue screen...it clearly indicates the Day of the Week, if it is morning, afternoon or evening, then the time and the date on the bottom. Best of all, he can read it from across the room. He is so proud to have it that he made me order one for his brother. It has several preset alarm settings which we do not use (Breakfast, take your pill, drink water, etc...) and you can use a usb stick (not included) to program additional alarms and customizations. you can change the colors, but the red, white and blue seems to be the easiest to read for a senior. It also has a remove control to change and program all the fancy stuff. And I was surprised, when I plugged it in, the time and date were already set, not sure if that is standard, but I'll take it! This is a great device to have for someone who may be suffering from dementia or just wants all the details at a quick glance! When I first turned it on all of the settings were correct but I found it's very simple to program. I got one for my mother, who suffers from dementia, after a recommendation from a friend who works with geriatric patients. I would find my mom dressed and ready to go when we weren't going anywhere that day, or find her with a blank face asking me what day it was even though she has a large calendar placed on the wall where she goes to the kitchen each morning. In my mind this clock is a must have and I wish I had gotten it for her sooner. It even shows what the weather is like outside with sun or clouds and automatically dims at night. It has good readability and the display is easy to set with a wide choice of colors! I just love it and it's doing the job I needed it to do for my Mom. ... show more

High quality, easy to read across the room, easy peasy to set up. My mother in law was frequently mixing up her days and wasn’t sure when to take her medicine. Bought this to keep by her bed and she loved it. It was such a big hit we purchased a second one to place in the living room for my father . This allowed them to easily see the day of the week and the time of day. Helped immensely with medication management. You can change the color of the screen to choose a different display. This is the 3rd large digital clock that I have had. My eyesight is not the best and this clock is perfect!! I wake up and the first thing in the morning I know the day, date and time. I am retired and it’s easy to forget what day it is. They have clear large numbers and lettering and bright background so are very easy to see and read. Purchased this clock for my parent with failing memory. Clock face has multiple setting that are large and easy to see. If I need to see what time it is in the middle of the night, I don't have to put my glasses on, this is a bonus. Different colors and also has a variety of tones for the alarms. I haven't figured it out yet, but not sure why the alarm will turn off without being turned off. The clock has the days of the week which is a great feature for an older person that may be home all day long and lose track of the days. The setup was easy and quick. The only downfall is the clock runs FAST. We purchase two of these at the same time and they are both 4 minutes ahead. The clock functions as it should minus it running fast. We like the product and it works well for my senior parent. I would recommend, if it running fast doesn't bother you, maybe you'll be at the office a couple minutes early. :-) ... show more

I have a family member who is bedridden. This clock is very easy to see and keeps them up-to-date on the time and day and whether it is afternoon or morning. I especially like the different modes you can use to display the information. My family member is sensitive to light so the black screen with the pink letters has worked out beautifully. Got this from my mom who is always asking what day it is and the time and she doesn’t have dementia, but she’s older and her memory is not the best so it took a while to get used to it, but I would always remind her that it’s in her room and it’s in a perfect spot so she has to do is look and see the date and time it’s nice and bright During the day and you choose the colors you want I chose red at night because my mother likes to sleep incomplete darkness so so any light will keep her up and this does the job where she is not at all bothered by the light at night good for seniors ... show more
