I've played tennis for years, took a long break, and recently got into pickleball based on a friend's recommendation. Like many beginners, I started with a basic Walmart paddle, then moved to an older 12mm Engage paddle, and later a Luzz Gen 3. When I started looking for my next paddle, I wanted to stay under/around $100. At my current skill level, I don't think there's enough difference between a $100 paddle and a $250-$300 paddle to justify spending that much more. I was mainly looking for something that offered solid all-around performance and good value. I looked around Aamzon and ordered the Vatic Pro Gen 4 with the long handle because I occasionally use a two-handed backhand and often felt that standard handles were a little too short. My first impression was honestly underwhelming. Compared to the Gen 3, the paddle felt quieter, more dampened, and more muted on contact. It didn't have that lively pop that immediately grabs your attention, and I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice. After about 5-6 sessions, though, my opinion completely changed. The biggest thing I noticed was consistency. My shots became much more reliable, and I felt more confident swinging through the ball. The paddle seems to hold the ball slightly longer on the face, which gave me better control over shot placement and spin. I was able to generate topspin, slices, and other spin variations more easily than with my previous paddles. Dinks felt controlled, drives felt predictable, and resets became more comfortable as I got used to the paddle. As I spent more time with it, I noticed improvements in almost every area of my game. My spin improved, my power was still there when I needed it, and my overall accuracy became noticeably better. The paddle gives me enough feedback without feeling harsh, and it rewards good mechanics. The Gen 4 may not have the immediate "wow" factor that some paddles offer during the first few hits. Instead, it's one of those paddles that gets better the more you play with it. Looking back, that's probably what I appreciate most about it. For players who are looking for a well-rounded paddle without spending premium paddle money, I think the Vatic Pro Gen 4 is an excellent value. It helped me improve my consistency, spin, and confidence on the court, and it has become my favorite paddle so far.

I’ve been really happy with the Vatic Pro V-Sol Pro 16mm paddle. I hit the ball pretty hard, and this paddle gives me the power I’m looking for without feeling out of control. Drives come off the face strong, and when I really swing through the ball, it comes off fast. Even with the power, it still has a good feel for resets, drops, and play at the kitchen. The 16mm build gives it a solid, stable feel, and the foam core makes it feel forgiving on off-center hits. For the money, this paddle is a great value. It feels well built, plays consistently, and gives me the power I want while still being manageable for touch shots. I would definitely recommend it for players who like to hit hard but still want control.

I’m an immediate level player who plays more of a power game with emphasis on a big serve, lots of topspin ground strokes, and solid net play. I purchased this paddle at the budget price of $109.00 hoping it had the power, pop and touch to help me succeed in the above listed areas. Boy, did this paddle meet expectations! I played about 10-12 hours with the paddle so far and here are my observations: Power- 8.5/10 This isn’t an “easy” power, but the paddle responds well when you put a good swing on it. The sweet spot is fairly large and I enhanced it by adding some lead tape. The serves and drives are powerful and here is the good news: The paddle power is strong but controllable. Pop- 8/10 The paddle isn’t real poppy but has enough pop to put away volley shots at the NVZ. Control 8/10 I found the paddle to be responsive and fairly easy to control. Good touch on dinks, resets, and drops. Spin 8.5/10 The paddle face is gritty, and it helped with top spin drives, serves, and dinks. Overall, this paddle plays well and is fun to use. There are better options available but not for this price. I’m glad I bought it and I recommend this paddle as a good power, spin, and control paddle at a reasonable price.

Do not let the price point fool you, this is a remarkable paddle for the price. I have been using the Joola Perseus for about a year and it was time for a replacement. As I am an intermediate player, I decided on the Vatic Pro - V-Sol 16mm, since it was within my budget. I was very pleasantly surprised. From the first hit, it delivered a near-perfect balance of power, control, and spin, making it ideal for my type of play. You normally only find this overall quality on more expensive paddles, so this paddle performs way above it's price point. Overall - The Vatic Pro V-Sol Pro 16mm is a high-performance paddle that delivers where it matters most. If you want a balanced, spin-friendly paddle without paying premium-brand prices, this one is an easy recommendation.

So far I really like this paddle. My previous paddle was the Vatic Pro V7 elongated. This paddle is physically almost identical, but the foam gives it more pop on drives and a great controlled feel at the kitchen. Spin is consistent with most carbon face paddles. I added an overgrip for a larger grip feel. Compared to foam paddles in the $300+ range this one is a real value. Does a Boomstick or Omni perform better? Sure they do, but I can replace this paddle 3 times for the same cost as one of those. Great value / performance balance here.

Very solid paddle. I’m a 3.0 and purchased the Bloom 12 weeks ago and like how it performs in both power and accuracy. This paddle has lots of power for my game. It feels exceptionally quick in my hands at the kitchen. I added weights but removed them feeling my hand speed was a bit slower. You can go wrong at $100 for an excellent paddle.

I do not understand all the hype over this paddle. Yes it is good, but it not any better than any of the older paddles I stilḷ own. The market of pickleball paddles has become like the market of golf clubs, with manufacturers trying to make you believe that you need to buy all the new expensive paddles, with supposedly groundbreaking "technology" blah, blah, blah. It is all marketing overhyped nonsense. Unless you are playing with a wooden paddle, the modern paddles are not that much different from each other and none is going to make you a better player just like that. And to make it worse, then they telḷ you that you have to "add weight" to make the paddle playable for you. I don't know about you but buying a paddle that I immediately have to "fix" to make it good, does not fill me with confidence. I want a paddle that works for me right out of the box. This one was not it FOR ME. It may be for YOU, though. I got the Flash model of the Pro. It had good power off hits in the sweet spot (which I liked) but had a lot of vibration and lack of stability when hitting off the edges (which I did not like). That's why people say you have to add weight to it to make it more stable. By doing that you may make it more stable but obviously you wilḷ make it heavier which, depending on where you add the weight, may throw you off or, worse, give you "tennis elbow." So, if you are looking for a new paddle and want one that -- by today's prices -- is not too expensive and that you wilḷ have to experiment with by adding weight to, this is a good one. But if you already own a good paddle that you like and that works for you now, there is no reason to "upgrade" because this one might not necessarily be an upgrade at all. Bottom line: try before you buy. Determine if you like paddles with "power feel" (hard feel off the face, usually 14mm) or "control feel" (softer, usually 16mm) and go with that. But, in my humble opinion, if you are recreational player, spending more than $100 on a paddle is wasting money. Save your money to reserve court times and play more.
