I'm new to pickleball but have played tennis for 50 years. I have gen 1 and gen 2 paddles, and added this one because I wanted to see how I did with a gen 4. This one has more power and spin potential, but at this point I play better with my other paddles mainly because they offer better control. It took me a while to decide which paddle I liked best. I tried all the Selkirk models and I thought that new Luxx would be the one. Luckily, I decided to order the Vatic Pro V- Sol to test it out and I must say that it did not disappoint. It feels awesome!! It is up to par with the Boomstic. I actually prefer it over the boomstic. In my opinion, the Vatic Pro has an excellent feel and pop to it. Not to mention it has amazing spin. The paddle face has tons of grip and really makes the wiggle ball spin. It’s awesome. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a top quality paddle for 1/3 the price of the high end silkirk. All I did was add a new grip and done. The original grip is not bad but add a little extra cushion made a big difference in the handling. Just order it you will not be disappointed. ... show more

Do not let the price point fool you, this is a remarkable paddle for the price. I have been using the Joola Perseus for about a year and it was time for a replacement. As I am an intermediate player, I decided on the Vatic Pro - V-Sol 16mm, since it was within my budget. I was very pleasantly surprised. From the first hit, it delivered a near-perfect balance of power, control, and spin, making it ideal for my type of play. You normally only find this overall quality on more expensive paddles, so this paddle performs way above it's price point. I've tried both the VSol Pro Flash & v7 shape and both are great paddles. Once you add some weight to them, the sweet spot is great and comes with the same pop / spin that you'd expect from any Gen 4 paddle Highly recommend for anyone playing > 3 times a week
