There are sharp edges and it cut me, but not too deep. Just need to be careful. It would be great if they supplied some sort of hanger (like for ceiling fans) so you have both hands free while securing the wires. I wound up making my own after installing the second one because the product made marks on my newly painted wall! The end result is a very pleasing fixture that I am satisfied with. ... show more
