Honestly, I almost didn't buy this case because of some of the ridiculous reviews. I bought it because I figured it was mostly user error (which seems to be the case). First of all, the protective film is not hard to get off at all if you have half a brain. Secondly, the case fits an iPhone PRO PERFECTLY- not an iPhone pro MAX. Sheeeeesh. Finally, there really is no unnecessary text around the black case- only the name of the brand on the bottom left which is pretty difficult to see anyway. I can't speak for the clear case. If you're that anal about little words around your iPhone, then I don't know what to tell you. The case feels DURABLE and it is not slippery to hold. I had a Gear4 clear case on it when I first got it and it nearly slipped out of my hands and into the concrete. I like that the bumpers around this case are a "matte" finiah- making the grip much more firm and less likely to slip out of your hands. The black border makes this phone look chic and expensive. I dig that. Haven't had a drop test yet and I don't plan on it, but I've had Spigen cases before and they have always held up. As far as the holes being centered to the phone, they look fine to me. I have no complaints there. The buttons line up and everything is perfect. Don't let others stupidity keep you from buying this case because it is NICE! Period. ... show more

I bought this case 4 years ago (pre-pandemic) for my iPhone 11 Pro and it has been doing well until this year. Photos are included of both the 4 year old case and the brand new case. I initially bought this case because it was the best looking plastic case that works with the phone’s own aesthetic, but it protected my phone from a few drops so I am happy. Some cracks formed along the edges and it lost a bit of snugness as a phone case this year, so it has done its job well over 4 years. You may also notice that the new case is a matte texture, vs the old case, in which the matte texture has degraded to the basic smooth plastic. It’ll happen if you touch the surface every day and human oils will degrade it. Buttons are perfectly aligned and so are the holes for the speakers. Never had an issue with the opening for the charging port either. Overall, it’s a great case. I bought it again because I liked it so much. ... show more

Reading all the reviews, I was a bit skeptical with purchasing this case. However, I’ve had tremendous luck with Spigen cases in the past, so decided to just trust my instincts and buy it. I also wouldn’t have a problem returning the product if I didn’t like it. When I got the case in the mail, I remember reading a previous review stating that the “unnecessary branding all over the case” was actually a protective film. IT CLEARLY stated on the packaging to remove this film. The film was on both the inside and backside of the case which is actually a pretty tough plastic. The edges are a bit of a thicker rubbery plastic, so there’s a bit of grip when holding or mounting your phone to its side. The film was pretty annoying to take off since it’s extremely thin and exact to the edges of the inside and backside of the case. I swear I thought I was about to make scratches on both sides as I was trying to figure out how to get it off. I even held it in different angles of the light to see if I could see an edge to the film, but I had to just keep picking at the edges until some of it started peeling out. The inner film was really annoying to take off, since the edges of the case curve up, not giving me much mobility to dig my finger into the edges of the film. The case is branded, but “Spigen” is only printed once, and it’s on the bottoms left edge of the case (definitely not a big deal). Other Spigen cases will be branded on the back, but this one is not. The top left edge has “Air Cushion Technology” branded and pointing to the corners of the case, but I don’t see why that would be a problem for anyone. No one is going to be looking at the top edge of your phone. The right edge of the case has “Spigen Inc in Irvine California Made in South Korea” and that starts from the bottom and doesn’t even reach the power button. *The texts on the sides really are small and almost unnoticeable. On the back, around the camera, the case has a border that lifts up a tiny bit (less noticeable than the power and volume buttons). This is nice, because if I drop my phone on it’s back, I think the lift would help prevent damage to the lenses. The corners have these little squares (air cushion technology) which I think are just little pockets with less plastic to catch the impact of a corner drop. I’m happy with the case. I trust Spigen. I’ve dropped previous phones with these cases off rooftops with no damage. Let hope I’m not jinxing my luck by posting this review. 4/5 stars because the “protective film” was irritating to peel off. ... show more

I've owned Spigen cases before and have always been happy with them. They have good drop protection, and they make the super slim, slick, easy-to-slip-out-of-the-hand iPhone much more secure. This case is more of the same. I chose the transparent model because I wanted the Midnight Green to show through. The buttons are covered with plastic, not just cut-outs. Cutouts for jacks, speakers, and the side switch are perfectly aligned. The case's edges are thick and raised beyond to front and back to protect against flat drops, which WILL happen eventually. It does make the phone considerably bulkier, but for a good reason. Spigen makes a tempered glass screen protector that I would strongly recommend to go with this. It's not just for scratch protection; the tempered glass will help keep the screen from shattering in face-down drops. The installation system easily gave perfect alignment and no bubbles. It's the best I've seen. I'm not personally bothered by all the info text around the sides, but I can see that it would irritate some folks. Spigen should reconsider this. I like this case and will continue to buy more of these as needed. Quality is excellent, and so is the price. ... show more
