I've played guitar for a while and thought I would try this out as something new. It was shipped fast and in good shape. I've read reviews about it not staying in tuned and I think it's because of new strings, I've played it for a couple of hours and the first hour was a constant tuning game but it finally stopped and stayed in tune so be patient with it when you get yours. The one thing that I don't like is how cheap it looks. But I guess you get what you pay for. It feels and looks cheap but for my first ukulele, I can't beat the deal. Sounds great and is loud with the pick. It's definitely fun and is enjoyable and I'll probably be playing it till it falls apart lol. Someone looking to get started, I would definitely recommend this.

Let me start by saying that I am a beginner and in no way any type of expert on ukuleles. I ordered two of these so that my daughter and I could learn together. This ukulele came packaged very nicely. The soft case that it comes in has a shoulder strap on the back of the bag and a handle on the side. The bag also has a small front zipper pouch for all the extras. The ukulele itself is very pretty wood grain and the craftsmanship looks nice. It is a matte finish and not glossy. This one has an acoustic port/hole in the side and unique cut-outs on the front. There are fret markers along the neck, on the top side only, if the ukulele is right hand facing. These straps seem to only support it in a right-handed position as well. The button that the strap attaches to, under the neck, positions the strap in such a way that it would interfere with your left hand while playing higher notes. The strap did have a 12-in nylon string inside the bag with it. Maybe that is to address this issue so that the strap interference doesn't occur. Since I am not an expert I cannot speak to the tone of the uke or the quality of the provided strings but I can say that it came with an extra set of strings. It also comes with a book, cleaning cloth, three picks, and a clip-on tuner. I'm excited to learn and start using it. It is very attractive and I think it will be a nice starter Uke.

Always wondered what walnut would sound like in an instrument. It’s not an expensive uke but I love the sound cuts as well as the tone. Certainly cheaper than my guitars and will be setting this one up for low G tuning. Very happy with my purchase!

I got the ukulele and I felt it sounded a bit flat and wooden so I changed the generic strings for my preferred string and it made the sound pop and come alive but that's PURELY personal preference, you may like it as is! The matte finish is beautiful and the wood grain looks delicious. The sound hole on the top bout projects the sound more directly to my ears and it is VERY playable after stretching and tuning the provided strings. (The ones ON the uke, it also comes with a spare set) Like I said with the last Uke I reviewed, get 2. GREAT VALUE!!!

I am in the process of returning it. Not a bad package deal for a new player but check out other entry level ukuleles (such as; Kala, Kmise, etc) try to get a uke with a solid, not veneer, top/soundboard. But in the end get one with a sound/tone that pleases you.

I really wasn't expecting much at all from such a cheap ukulele I just bought it because it was on sale for $50 and I thought "what the heck, the stuff it comes with would probably cost that much on their own". I'll admit, I am a ukulele addict who buys way too many, and this is one of the most well crafted ukuleles I own; It far surpasses a lot of the mid-range name brand ukuleles in both craftsmanship and tonal properties. Everyone's ears are different and I know that makes us biased to some tonewoods, so in my subjective opinion, I love the full-rounded bass-y properties of walnut. My bias aside, the quality of the build makes the tonal properties of the wood very noticeable over other ukuleles. Not only is it made very well, but the side soundport it has is usually only featured on higher end ukuleles, and I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone who likes to hear what they're playing because it's being projected right up to you. I ordered the concert size and I have to admit I am tempted to buy the tenor, which I would never buy a different size of the same ukulele usually. Also the 50% open pore finish is usually something higher end ukuleles have instead of something $50. 5/5 would/will buy again!
