Having owned the same blanket since 2005, I figured it was time for a new blanket. So I started my search. looking for high positive reviews as always, and also the negative. Recently purchased this. Writing this review at the end of 2023. Looking at it up close, it looks the same as my blanket it terms of thickness. For anyone wondering what my old blanket is, it’s a San Marcos original blanket. Made in china. So not an original since the original ones were made in Mexico. No longer made. You can still find companies that make them with similar material and if you don’t mind having an animal or a specific design on the blanket. Warm, heavy blanket I used for all seasons. still have it. Anyways, this one ended up being thinner, maybe just lighter in terms of weight since my old blanket was meant for a bigger bed size and this one I ordered is for a size full bed. It’s definitely nice and warm. Since right now it’s cold, I am using the white fur style material side. It’s warm enough and also having a heater helps. Quality of material feels great. No shedding. even after i washed it first before using it like you always should. Time will tell. I paid 40 plus tax. I was not expecting perfection. I don’t see this lasting the same as my other blanket, but we will see. I ordered the dark green one. Softness, comfort, and light weight, 5 out of 5 from me. Thickness and combined with being warm, 4 out of 5.

I love the softness of this blanket. It is of good weight, not too heavy, not too light, just nice and warm. The quality is comparable to some higher end brands. I'm happy that it doesn't shed like some other blankets. I washed it before using it and was pleasantly surprised at the small amount of lint left behind in the dryer. There's no lint sticking to your clothes either when you snuggle in it. I'm happy with this purchase.

Its not as thick as the picture shows but is very soft and still pretty warm. Good layering for PNW winters but not gonna keep you cozy in the middle of winter by itself. Doesn't feel like there's anything between the two outside pieces.

I bought the Utopia Bedding Sherpa Blanket Throw Size [Navy, 50x60 Inches] - 480GSM Thick Warm Plush Fleece Reversible Blanket for Bed, Sofa, Couch, Camping and Travel. I like these Utopia Brand of Blankets and throws and I have bought several different sizes and thicknesses. For this Navy Blue 50 inch x 60 inch Sherpa throw, it is nice and warm. The fleece and the Sherpa fabrics are nice quality. All of the edging stitching is done well and looks nice. For me, I found that a Throw size of 50 inch x 60 inch is just a bit too small/short for my larger and taller body. I am using this throw basically as a large shawl for when I am sitting at my home office desk. All-in-all, I am happy with this throw, I but wish that this Sherpa Blanket Throw was also offered in the XL Throw size of 50 inches x 70 inches!

I bought two of these when they were on sale for $18.00. I wish I had purchased a couple more now that their price has substantially increased. This blanket is impossibly soft on the colored side. The Sherpa lining is irresistibly inviting. Unlike most other inexpensive blankets, this one is quality made. The seams are straight, the Sherpa is of excellent quality and does not shed. The colored side also does not shed. Given that my cats shed, having a blanket that does not shed is a treat! I live in deep snow and ice country, but keep a cool house. Electricity is expensive, my main heat source is propane. Given I live way up on a mountain, propane delivery is very limited. The temperature outside may be below zero, but my house is still kept at 58-65 degrees. With this blanket to snuggle into, I do not notice the chill. In fact, at times, I tend to push the blanket down off my shoulders to my waist because this blanket provides such warmth, even in a cool house, this blanket keeps me warm even with minimal coverage. I am a full-time RV'er and when the temp dips down to minus 24, 'Snuggy' (besides my cats) is my best winter friend. I bought two about a week apart because my cats discovered how warm and friendly this blanket is, so the second blanket was for me! I don't worry about their fur because this blanket washes and dries as beautiful as it looks. As far as durability, my cats 'make biscuits' on this blanket frequently without harming either side. Of course, I keep their claws clipped rather short, so for those cats who have longer claws, what damage they may do I do not know, but 'their' blanket has not suffered damage. If these blankets ever go on sale again, I will definitely purchase another two, or three! If you keep a cool house, or get easily chilled, this blanket will become your best wintertime friend!
