    • Very flimsy- But works!

I got this because of the legs - wanted a hibachi-type grill, but didn't have a good place to put it on, besides the ground, so got this instead. The good: It's very lightweight, no assembly - all makes it easy to move around and take with you for camping or tailgating et al. It got HOT - it was very hot outside (102) when we were grilling so it's hard for me to say how long the heat will hold in less hot temperatures - but this thing did it's job and got hot and kept air flowing. The bad: it's very flimsy - we've been handling it very carefully so we won't dent it. The grill itself is also just a mesh peice, which is fine, but it is not strong. We did a bunch of kebabs on this, and i think that's what it's suited for (lightweight, fast grilling). The mesh grill was also not the easiest to clean because of all the little peices and scrubbing it with steel wool was impossible. I'm not sure how long this will hold up. BUT - it did the job we needed for it to do for a dinner, and we plan on using it again this next month for another dinner! It came in super fast like next day awesome. Looks decent cooked great made hamburgers shrimp kabobs and hot dogs. The only downfall is there's no lid that came with it and how low to the ground you might need to make a stand other than those two things decent product for beginner grill Master.

It took a few days longer to get to me and came in with one side damaged. But it doesn’t look like it will affect performance so I decided to keep it. Will update after I have used it. Other than that, can’t ask for much more for the price.

We bought this grill for an RV trip and packed it without even opening the shipping box, which was a mistake. When I opened the box to use the grill, it was apparent that on one side, the strap that's supposed to connect the legs together was only welded on one end, so it was even more wobbly than it would otherwise be (which is pretty wobbly). Since I had no other option when I reached the campsite, I used it and managed to get some burgers and brats cooked reasonably well on it, but the actual grill part kept sliding out of the support tabs in the frame and dropping down closer to the coals. I found an old screw on the campsite and had to use it to push the hot grill back into place, but it would slide back out whenever I flipped a burger. After the coals died, I used a hose to clean it out and let it to dry overnight. The next morning, I noticed that the tray that holds the charcoal was rusted, since it's just thin steel and the heat burned the paint off it (hmm, where did the fumes from that burning paint go? Oh yeah, into my food!). What I didn't expect was that the grill itself was lightly rusted wherever the heat had burned off the thin chrome plating on the wire grid (again, the chrome became a condiment). This thing is pretty much junk, but I kept it for emergency use (since I've already eaten most of the hazardous waste it produced on the initial use) and bought a nice portable propane grill. ... show more

The only thing I don't like about this product is the bottom falls out easily. However, I lined the bottom with aluminum foaluminum foil and made it a little thicker around the edges so the bottom does not fall out. It's a great little grill.

Came completely assembled, which to me is worth at least $20 of my time. It's light but constructed well. You don't need to much charcoal since it's a very shallow grill. It's sturdy and the legs fold for easy transport. It fits about 20-30 skewers at a time and because of the open design, the coals remin hot the whole time. ... show more
