I reviewed, compared, and shopped for weeks before choosing the Uten XL air fryer and I couldn't be more satisfied and delighted with my choice! This unit has so much to offer the novice to well seasoned user! This fryer has generous room, enough I can cook a meal for 3 in it with no problems! The basket is so easy to clean you can literally wipe it clean with a paper towel. No more burning food to a crisp for my family. Healthier because no oil (or light oil if desired) and the flavor of the foods come alive. The unit is super quiet while running and the touch screen control panel is easy and convenient with 8 preset cooking controls which takes the guesswork out of cooking. It's amazing how much time the air fryer cuts out of making dinner and allows me to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with my family. I am a mom of 5 with an 8 month old baby. So life is hectic but this air fryer takes a lot of stress away. Ever since it got delivered 3 days ago, I've been cooking in it every night. It literally cuts my cooking time in half probably even more than that depending on what I'm making. Tonight we had tri tip steak, not sure what I was thinking but I was under the impression that it would not be ok to put in the air fryer. I was totally wrong, I cooked it in the oven after it baking for an hour it still was very pink when sliced. I decided to put it in the air fryer to finish the cooking. I set it for 10 minutes each side for 5 min at 400 temp and it was still tender, a bit crispy and so flavorful. The oven is literally my least favorite thing right now. I was a little cautious of it at first, but every time I use it, it does what it is supposed to do. I do not understand why the timer ticks the time down but the time indicator does not move backward constantly as the time degresses; but in the end, it monitors and controls the time setting. Had this for a week now, tried all different stuff, pot stickers (1st use) cooked just a tad to much, but nice and crunchy. Wings turned out great, fries-perfect. reheated onion rings, better than turning oven on and quicker. Frozen/breaded calamari turned out nice. Trick is to check product often, regardless of what a recipe or book states. learned that after the pot stickers. For a 1st time air fryer, thought this to be an introductory model & price. Simple 2 knob control, makes it easy to deal with. Next few days will try and cook a couple of hamburgers. Been putting it off 'cause not quite sure how to pull it off. Been a grill user to long I guess. I recommend this unit for 1st time users, didn't think I would ever need (want is a better word) one of these, but wife insisted. I have the 6.9qt size & it is perfect for 2 people! It works great! No problems. My only concern is a tiny digit of the temp # isn't showing im a little concerned the temp/time lights will be the 1st to go. Otherwise it's perfect. Purchased the thin parchment paper to line the bottom & cleans up instantly. How can you lose! Bon appetite 😋 ... show more
