    • Very Pleased Even With Tow Small Dents!
The price of electricity in California is through the roof and as I have a full size subzero refrigerator & full size Subzero Freezer who's compressors never seem to stop running I decided a few years back to switch down to a 3.4 Cf......Fridge/Freezer combo. Because it's now just me at home. While nice and saving my electric bill I have found that I still require just a little more room so I just purchased this 4.5 C ft Mini Fridge with buckets of room for all the extras I was going with out because my other one was too small. That being said when I first read the reviews on this item most seem angry that their had dents on the outside some large and some small. Now if something I ordered came with a large dent in it I would insist on a replacement. But...mine came with 2 small dents on the left side toward the bottom...unpacking it, it seemed packed well with thick cardboard & heavy duty packing materials. So yeah I was a little surprised to see two small dents in the bottom but not angry. Only I know they are there...they do not affect how well this mini fridge runs and stays cold. And while I would probably be in the right if I insisted on another one. I refuse to repack it just the way I received it...load it back into my pick up truck and drag it to my local UPS store...drag it inside and send it on it's merry way...hoping my replacement is perfect and dent free. But hey that's just me....It was shipped quick...unpacking & Set Up was easy and I have had it for about a week now and just love everything about it.....So I don's see a reason not to give a 5 star rating....theses items ship along way and are bound to get dented....As long as I get the performance I need.... I can live with some tiny dents....But again...that's just me ... show more

The product arrived damaged - based on the box and where the damage was on the door, this happened during shipping - I contacted the seller right away - I took pictures and the replacement door arrived in a couple of days - the customer service agent provided the shipping tracking number. So far I am happy with the product - very quiet and plenty of space (including the freezer) - has an auto (button) defrost option - there is also a tray to catch the melted water. ... show more

I purchased this particular model for two main reasons: it's size for the price (many other brands at a similar price are smaller) and that it has a defroster. I got it to replace a much older but very similar GE model that still works but has seen better days. I particularly like the finish (black with a stainless door) which matches my microwave, Instant Vortex air fryer and other small appliances very well. I tested the defrost function and it seems to work OK; I won't know for certain until I've had the unit longer and let the ice build up more. My old fridge was always a pain to defrost; I'd have to shut it off, take everything out, put in a plastic tub to collect the water, wait for hours and then still have to deal with mopping up. Hopefully this unit will be easier and quicker; I'll still have to pull items out of the "chiller" section (that's what they refer to it as in the manual, as it doesn't really get cold enough to be called a true freezer) but that's a lot easier than emptying the whole fridge. I'll post an update in the future as to how well the defrost feature really works. So here's my overall impression of the unit: Pros: It has a light! (My old one didn't.) The shelves are glass instead of plastic or wire racks. It has wheels instead of feet on the back making it easier to move. The crisper section is clear allowing you to see what's in it. I was able to freeze ice cubes no problem. However that was in the middle of winter, the ability to freeze and keep items frozen may change during the summer depending on the ambient temperature. After 2 months of use, it has built up very little ice in the chiller section. Neutral: The chiller (freezer) section goes across the full width of the unit, unlike the product photo which shows some space to the left of it that would have provided a bit of room for some taller items on the top shelf. The crisper drawer is indented at the bottom providing a handle to pull it out, but it makes it smaller than the drawer in my old fridge. However you can also rotate the drawer forward without sliding it out for easy access. It's supposed to be very quiet, but it's louder than my old fridge by about 6db. I could dig out my audio meter to actually measure it but I don't think it's worth the time. It's not a big issue for me but might be for some; it's noticeable compared to my old fridge. Cons: As the chiller section isn't isolated from the rest of the fridge, it can be difficult to find a balanced temperature setting between the two. While I was able to maintain a cold enough temperature in the chiller section to make & keep ice cubes, it wasn't cold enough to keep ice cream solid (which again is pointed out in the user manual.) However at that same setting, items on the top shelf froze. This is also going to change depending on the ambient temperature; if you don't have central A/C, during the summer months it may become more difficult to keep items frozen in the chiller section. I can safely say this is the best seller I’ve ever dealt with on Amazon. I don’t do stores so the extent of my Amazon purchases is quite alot. And this seller blew them all away. Went way above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. Absolutely the best! And yes, the fridge is perfect. It replaced a much more expensive model in my kitchen.     • Problems with door.

Arrived okay in that it was not damaged. However, the door on the fridge fell off almost immediately. A different hinge was installed on the top of the door and a screw was missing at the bottom causing the hinge to swing out, not close properly and fall off. The hinges were not close enough together to hold the door when it was fully opened. There was no cover over the hinge (like every other refrigerator I have ever seen) and it was obvious that it was installed after the item was manufactured. I intended to send it back but missed my window. I do not know if it was the brand or the company I bought from but it is not right. ... show more
