I do like Oxo good grips products, and this is definitely one of their better ones. Make sure to pick up a pair of the Oxo good grips tongs to go along with this pan so you don't scratch anything. Regardless of what any label, or anyone tells you, you should still use at least a tablespoon of butter or some form of oil in the pan with every use. Another tip to keeping your pan lasting really long is to never go above medium heat. It's better to stay between medium and low for most of your cooking needs. You'll still get a good sear, you'll still get that sizzle, and your food will come out delicious. I truly use this pan for everything. I've rendered down pork belly, and then thrown boiled pasta in it to make pasta carbonara. I've done ribeye steaks in here, and also make over easy eggs almost every morning. Depending on the egg size, it can hold between 6 to 10 cooked eggs and still have nice evenly spaced yolks. Which brings me to another point, cooking for a family of four, this might be the pan for you! I've also thrown frozen vegetables in here with a quarter cup of chicken broth, and this pan will cook everything evenly. It's a great product, and a true bang for the buck. You're not going to find anything that performs as well within the same price range. Also, this has all the free things about it, BPA free, pfoa free or whatever, this thing is as 2023 conscious about health is used as possible. ... show more

I’ve been a devoted Calphalon customer since I discovered their 12” non-stick omelet pan 25 years ago. Although their non-stick coating invariably lasted less than 2 years, Calphalon always honored their guarantee and promptly replaced the worn out pans, gratis. All I ever paid for was the shipping cost of sending back the worn out pans. Considering the skillet I question currently retails for $92, the replacement cost was negligible. Sadly, the company was not satisfied with the design, and the changes they’ve made over the past two decades have seemed like change for its own sake with no direction or logic. The skillets were great but not perfect. Had they concentrated their efforts on ergonomics and on improving the non-stick coating, I might have remained a loyal customer. Enter OXO. For years, I have been amazed at their ability to take the simplest of kitchen utensils and apply the basics of ergonomic design with results that are frequently astounding. Now, they’ve added non-stick skillets to their repertoire. To be concise: wow—just wow. The OXO skillet takes the best qualities of Calphalon and AllClad skillets and adds their usual human-friendly touch. The resulting skillet is heavy enough to ensure even and thorough browning but light enough to allow even a child to sauté with aplomb. Plus, the angle and depth of the edge is perfect for sauté. They’ve also added a PFOA-free non-stick coating that—after several months—still looks and works like new. Last night I seared yogurt-marinated chicken, laden with spices—most notably turmeric. The next morning, the skillet wiped out with a minimum of soapy water. Even burned spices wipe out and leave no residue. Pot was shipped in loose packaging, and was badly scratched and looked used. Return and replacement was easy. Dropped pot off at local return drop zone. The second pot arrived a week later and looked brand new. Four stars instead of five because first pot looked used and I had to go through return process. ... show more

I have the 8-inch OXO PRO frypan and the 10-inch OXO PRO frypan. I use them every day and love them!! Scramble eggs in the 8 inch and then just run under hot water & watch the pan get clean. Nothing sticks, these pans are a joy to use and clean. I didn't get lids with the OXO PRO's, so I ordered the 12 inch frypan that comes with a lid. The PRO warms up a little faster and will go into an oven at 430 degrees, while the Good Grips will go up to 390 degrees. That's just about the only difference I can find. BUY THESE PANS!!! You will love them too! They are anodized so hand-washing is best, and remember to use non-metal utensils to avoid scratches. Otherwise they're work horses in the kitchen. I purchased this non-stick pan (with lid) to replace a high-end frying pan that was nearing the end of its life. I'd recommend this pan for anyone who is looking for a quality frying pan that won't break the bank PROS -This pan has a good weight to it and the the handle feels pretty comfortable when you need to hold the pan over heat or pour contents out -So far, we've found that the heat distribution is pretty even -It's truly non-stick - no problems with eggs sticking to the pan -Fitted lid is very useful, as I didn't find many other pans that come with one CONS -The outside of the pan can scuff/scratch easily, this might bother some people, but as long as the pan functions well, we don't mind -Should be washed by hand - this is true for most non-stick surfaces and will extend the product's life ... show more

It is important that you follow the directions for this pan. This is the second time I bought this pan and unfortunately at higher temperatures none of these non-stick pans will last very long. Great for a family of four. The lid makes it easy to use for rice dishes. Love the pan. Easy to wipe out the paper towel or rinse. I also bought the smaller version of this pan which has no lid. It's great for scrambled eggs in the morning. I would buy this again. ... show more

I loved this pan for 3 years, but now it's scratched and black stuff is coming off the bottom. It is still non-stick, but come on!! Non scratch?? No. Hard anodized?? I don't think so.
