Have to drill new holes for it to fit, pops out of holes once it gets hot in front. Cooks way faster than a blackstone brand top to a point of burning eggs in under 1 minute. Highly disappointed

For the longest time I have been dreaming of getting a used commercial grille top, the type you see in a sandwich shop. The only problem is that I do not have any space to store it. Then along comes this beauty. Pick your size but it is large enough to cover the top of my gas burner stove. Why do I want one so bad? Because I used to go to an Italian restaurant, pull the bar stool up to the counter, and watch the guy doing the cooking. Chicken cheese steaks are my favorite. Off to the side he has a pile of onions or scoops a sandwich full out of a container and spread them over on one side of the grill. He has the temperature set on that side for such. He does the same with the sliced mushrooms. He breaks out the chicken fillet and after oiling it he chops it up with the long spatula. That is another thing I have always wanted; a spatula that you could lift a whole cheesesteak worth of finished material and neatly drop it into a long roll. (I bought the pair set of them here at Amazon, do a search for BLACKSTONE 5550 Extra Long Griddle Spatula Set of 2- Perfect Heavy-Duty Stainless-Steel Premium Flat Top BBQ Grill Accessories”) So after cooking the chicken well enough, He scoops the onion/mushroom mix and places it over the chicken, and the proceeds to squirt some water over it which instantly turns into steam, and places the cheese slices over it, and then proceeds to place a metal cover over it. After only a minute or two the cover comes off and it is one heavenly thoroughly moist chicken delight, and with the long spatula he pick the entire thing up and places in neatly just like it is on the grill into the long roll; best chicken cheese steaks that I have had anywhere. So, that is why this stove cover is so ideal. Let's talk about that. This is specifically meant for the Blackstone Tabletop Griddle with rear grease system. That is one thing my regular stove top conversion has not taken into consideration yet, but since I am a lean eater, and not big into excessively fatty meats, it should not present a problem. This lays perfectly flat on top of my stove. Normally, there is 4 burners which is all that you need, but mine has a large oval center grill burner as well, so, all options are there. It is not just a flat bottom because it has thick steel square plates welded into the top giving it more stability. The metal is thick for the purpose so it is heavy-duty and give you a lifetime of service. Conveniently there are side handle cutouts so you can lift it easily which is tough to say though because there is nothing Mickey Mouse about this stove top cover because it is relatively heavy.

This is a good replacement cook top. It fits my Blackstone well but it is not the same assembly configuration as my original cook top but I was able to make it work. It is well made and sturdy. I do like that this cook top directs the grease to the rear drain unlike my original one. Overall, I am happy with this cook top.
