I Put Three Stacked Highland Cows in My Garden and Now Scotland Considers Me a Diplomatic Embassy
Color: Regular-brown
Let's address what we're all thinking when we look at this product photo: this is three cows in a trench coat. Look at them. The bottom cow is doing all the heavy lifting with the strained, determined face of someone carrying the family's entire emotional baggage. The middle cow is just happy to be there. And the top cow is holding a glowing "WELCOME" sign like a tiny furry maître d', greeting guests to a restaurant that doesn't exist. They're stacked like they're trying to sneak into an R-rated movie. They're not fooling anyone. But they ARE fooling my heart, because I love them. I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife, because the listing specifically said "Birthday Gifts for Women Mom," and after twenty years of marriage I have learned to trust the Amazon algorithm more than my own instincts. She opened the box, gasped, and whispered, "The hairy coos." I didn't know what that meant. Apparently in Scotland, that's what they call Highland cows. Hairy coos. I now say it at least six times a day. My wife says it with a Scottish accent. I can't do the accent. I sound like a pirate with a head cold. She lets me keep trying. If you don't know, the Highland cow has taken over American home decor like a shaggy, horned conqueror. They're on mugs. They're on throw pillows. They're on blankets, wall art, tote bags, phone cases, and those wooden signs that say "But First, Coffee." Every farmhouse-style living room in this country has at least one Highland cow staring at you through a fluffy set of bangs. And now my garden has three. Stacked. Glowing. With flower crowns. My wife has officially won the cottagecore war of our neighborhood. The solar lighting is magical. They charge for 6 to 8 hours in the sun, and when night falls, three little LED areas light up: the welcome sign and both floral crowns. The first night it turned on, I stepped outside and saw them glowing softly in the dark among the petunias, like a sacred cow shrine. My dog sat in front of it for twenty minutes, completely silent, like a monk at a temple. Three lightning bugs flew over and landed on the welcome sign, apparently thinking it was a club opening. A raccoon walked by, saw it, and bowed. The raccoons respect anything with good lighting. The product description includes the most honest disclaimer I've ever read: "The light is designed for ambience rather than pathway illumination." Translation: these cows are not here to help you see. They're here to make you FEEL something. They're not a flashlight. They're a mood. If you need to walk across your yard at night, you're on your own. The cows are busy being beautiful. Now, every lawn ornament has its natural enemies. The garden gnome community on my street did NOT welcome the arrival of the cows. Gary's gnome, a squat little guy with a fishing pole and a smug face, stared at my cows across the property line for days. I could feel the tension. Then the plastic pink flamingos across the street chose sides. They're with the gnome. It's a cold war. My cows stand firm, glowing, smiling, welcoming. They don't engage. They just keep shining. And honestly, that's the most powerful move you can make in any conflict. Side effects may include: Saying "hairy coo" with a terrible Scottish accent and refusing to stop Buying a kilt for the garden, then for yourself Hearing faint bagpipes every night when the solar lights turn on Your wife buying three more Highland cow items "to keep them company" Seriously researching the cost of a real Highland cow and the zoning laws of Hampton Roads A small concern: there's a $64.99 version available too. I don't know what's different about it. More cows? Taller cows? Do they sing? I'm afraid to find out, because if I discover there's a FOUR-cow stack, my wife will need it, and I'll be forced to rebuild the garden to accommodate a cow tower visible from the interstate. Proclamation From the Garden: The cows have arrived. The welcome sign glows. Ambience has been achieved. Pathway illumination remains unavailable. And on behalf of all three hairy coos, my wife would like to thank Amazon for knowing her better than I do. ... show more

Well made
This is nicer than I expected! Gives off quite a bit of light. It’s a nice size. I have placed it in a large flower pot on the porch and also in a flower bed. It stands up well.

So cute and worth the money!
Color: Regular-brown
I adore these! They light up depending on the sun that day (not always happening in the PNW). But they are so cute. I've had them for a few months and I still would consider them a good value for the money. I feel the quality is good. I do wish they were a little bit larger but they are as described. ... show more

Perfect Black Cat Outdoor Decor
I got this to remind me of my black cat. It’s perfect, and when the sun goes down, it lights up because it’s solar-powered. The size is big just as the picture shows. I love it 🖤🐈⬛

It tiny
Color: Regular-brown
It's nice, but very small. I should have checked the size. I thought it would be at least 2ft. tall.
