    • Almost identical to the original Ninja blade
The media could not be loaded. The original blade that came with my Ninja blender broke so I had to find a replacement. I purchased this after market part from Amazon and here are my thoughts on it 1. First, the design is almost identical to the original part, there are some minor differences in the blade design, but they are so minor that I don't think it will make a difference in the way it blends the foods. 2. Weight. The blade part weight is pretty much the same as the original part. 3. Durability - I haven't had it for long but the part seems to durable and I would expect it to last a while. It's nice that it comes with the extra gasket in case it needs to be replaced. Note: I'm giving it 4 stars because the blades are not pre-assembled out of the box, so you have to screw in the blade and it took me a while to realize that you have to screw it in the opposite direction for the screw to go in. Also my wife assumed that the extra gasket had to be used as well and she tried to install it, which caused some issues and again it took me a while to realize that the part already came with a pre-installed gasket, so perhaps some instructions would have helped. ... show more

    • Will this one last more than a year?
The media could not be loaded. This is my third purchase of this replacement part. The last two only lasted a little over a year and then it starts to get radial cracks. I still use it with the cracks for a few months, but it does make a mess of the base when it starts leaking in there. It has always done a really good job of actually blending the stuff in my shakes. I typically have something leafy in there with berries or bananas and the leafs get finely ground up so they’re not noticeable but I will say that I started noticing it’s not chopping the leaves quite as well now that we’re at a year and a half of use. I’m comparing the new one I just purchased February 2023 to the one I purchased in August 2021 and I’m noticing the blades are shorter and not as far as spread out as they were on the old one so perhaps this truly is a new design that will prevent the cracks from occurring; so will need to update in a year as far as whether it is lasting longer. I only paid $16 for it so I figure a year of use is pretty good. ... show more

So far so good. I’ve used this replacement at least 10 times and it is doing well. It’s a little harder to twist into place than the original motor housing but works great once you lock it in.

It worked well but it only lasted seven months. It developed several cracks and I could see a little of the smoothie leaking through after blending. That said, I do use it every day so it does get a lot of use. I sort of expected it would last about a year. I did reorder the same one since it did work and the bearing held up. ... show more

    • Don’t try grinding nuts with it!
It fits perfectly and gets smoothies super creamy and smooth, just don’t try grinding any dry ingredients and make sure you have enough liquid in the cup before turning it on. I’ve accidentally frozen the bearings twice, once with the original and once with a replacement, because of both this. I’ll be more careful this time. Cleaning is a little tricky but only because the blade is so sharp. ... show more

Works well however it seems to be louder than the previous one. There seems to be a smell associated with it as well. It is cleaned very well but I'm not sure the bearing in this is any good.
