Why am I even happier with this product now that it's empty?

I purchased the "SodaStream CO2 Gas Refill Pack - 2 Cylinders, Pink CQC System - Use box to return your... blah blah blah you gets some munies back" I am about to send my 2 empty bottles in and I like this product even more now that they are empty. Why? Because I'm insane. Just kidding, they include everything you need to EASILY return the used cylinders!! Carbonation: works just as well as the original Ease of use: the bottles are insanely easy to add and remove, having two in the box is wonderful... always nice to have a spare so you can always enjoy your fizzies. Bottles look the same as the original The Box: "What's in the BOooOoxa?!?!" No severed head of your loved ones here. Excellent structure, keeps the bottles from knocking around into each other without an excessive and wasteful use of materials. Also, love the big READ ME YOU DUMMY "keep the box!" message, because my lazy self probably would have tossed it w/out reading if it wasn't so IN YOUR FACE! Maybe I wouldn't have... it is quite orderly and efficent but.. more than likely I would have tossed it and the first empty bottle. Return process: In my opinion so far, flawless. The steps are simple and easy to grasp, perfect again for my lazy/efficent personality type. I get to feel more hippy/green because I'm actually recycling Vs. putting stuff in a different garbage can that will end up in the dump or ocean or another country anyway... but I still do it because MAYBE! Gotta have hope that at least SOME of it makes it to being repurposed... Sorry, side quested there... back to the return process, I had zero problems with the website, just make sure you add the -'s from your order number, it found my 2 year old order without issue once I added that. Just put the empty cylinders into the box, rip off the old label, drop it off at UPS with any other returns, make sure you complete the website and return the package within 15 days and done. Easy, green, and a lot less crap in the trash bin to go sit forever. I'm going to go make myself another tasty carbonated beverage with one of my new flavors (wish me luck). Had no problems with these refills. My hubby put them into our Soda Stream machine, and they worked. Nice to have the ability to refill and not have to buy a whole new carbonated water maker. I thought the quality was good, enjoy the results, no leakage, carbonated just as well as the one that came with the machine, and I enjoy the heck out of the beverages it makes. No power required. Compatible with the Soda Stream model we have, but check before ordering. A+ from us. Not a hassle for him to connect it, either. I like having the Soda Stream for when I want a glass of soda. These are expensive, but necessary. Don't believe the hype about getting a coupon for returning the empty cylinders. I sent one back and received nothing. If I had time, I'd buy these at Target; at least they give you something back for empty cylinders. ... show more

Homemade soda is the best!

I love my SodaStream! I like mixing soda water with lemonade and other juices. It lessens the sweetness and gives a bit of fizz. It's like a ready-made mocktail. SodaStream allows me to enjoy unlimited soda at a fraction of the cost of purchasing bottles and cans of seltzer. I also love that I can make the soda water as fizzy or mild as I like. Never any return labels, never any product support

The cylinders are fine, which is great because they will end up decorating your home. They do not come with the return labels needed to return the cylinders and get your deposit back. It's not in the box. It's not there when you painstakingly remove the shipping label. My best guess at the actual return process is at the bottom of this review. Amazon will tell you to talk to Sodastream; Sodastream will tell you to talk to Amazon. I think they only hold order numbers in there system for a limited time, because they aren't valid on the support website. You must take a bunch of extra steps to prevent getting stuck. What I think you are supposed to do is the following: 1. Immediately register your order with Sodastream 2. Check the return window. If you are unlikely to use up all your C02 before that date, you have to email Sodastream for an extended window. Example: I make one bottle a day. Even counting that as a liter, a 3-pack of CO2 is 180 liters worth. If my return window is less than six months, I had better do a bunch of extra work to keep from getting screwed. 3. I've never made it this far, but I presume you would then print off the return label from Sodastream and return your cylinders. ... show more
