We've used our heater for a few hours a day to heat a small outbuilding during a cold Northeast winter. A 40 pound outdoor propane tank feeds our indoor heater through a 20 foot hose. Manufacturer requirement for many propane generators
In reading the manual for my 6500 KW standby generator I found that these are a manufacturer highly recommended/requirement for many propane generators (Dual fuel). I cannot ascertain the effectiveness of the filter but these are definitely cheap insurance that will help keep your generator running during those emergency power outages.

Works As Expected
Fits exactly as described for my Mr Buddy Heater and gives me peace of mind that I will not gunk up the fuel line with my propane hose. For the price, you can’t beat it.

Works Great Now! But constantly needs cleaning.
When I first used it, I was relying on this to heat my off grid cabin(10 degrees outside) Not completely insulated(still under construction) but weathered in. The unit kept flaming out and sometimes it took me 20 minutes to get it re-lit. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. After I got home I did some research and found out that I may need to clean the gas nozzle with a q-tip and alcohol. Clean it! I asked, this is brand new first time I used it! So I called Mr. Heater customer service and that is exactly what they told me also! I haven't had any issues with it since. Now I clean it every time I use it (2 twice a day) I rely on it to run all day and night. My Little Buddy heater hasn't ever been cleaned and no problems.

Must have if using 20 gallon tank
Works well. Attached straight to the heater and allowed me to connect the hose to a 20 gallon tank. It included a plastic protector on the pin for protection as well.

Works great for a long time!
I have been using this filter occasionally every winter, and it still works after 12 years. Supposedly I should change it every year, but I will just use it until it clogs up :)

Works as advertised
Based on the extensive experience of a good friend who heats his cabin with a Mr. Heater brand propane heat, I invested in this filter for the Mr. Heater we added to our travel trailer. So far it works perfectly and eliminated the worry of clogged propane line in cold weather. A reasonable and prudent precaution for the cost.

Easily installed, heater runs better
If this inexpensive filter keeps me from throwing away another heater, it's absolutely worth it. I run propane heaters a lot in the fall and winter. Currently, Bluu heaters with thermostats. They seem to run better with a filter installed. I've run Mr. Heater Buddy heaters for a year or so, and then they clog. I tried disassembling & and unclogging them, and nearly had a house fire. Ha. DYI propane? Not a good idea. Filter to prevent problems? Good idea.
