I chose this unit because it boasted a 38 dB noise level. Absolutely 100% false advertising! It's only been a day since I set this up and it's already driving me nuts. I also spent the $90 for Vivosun's GrowHub controller, only to find out that it will not control this Vivosun blower and it has only very basic and limited control of the VS3000 grow lights. So basically it's useless to me too. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do a little more research and find something better like AC Infinity or something. If your grow tent is in the same room where you watch TV or sleep or anything like that the noise from this blower will drive you up a wall in a hurry. ... show more

This is a pretty great blower. Moves air extremely well. O have had a couple. First ran non stop for 7 months. Finally the center of the fan blade wore out. But it was easy to fix with this design. Like any carving filters they do pack cabin dust after a while. Just flip your blower over to pull out of the filter and either tap on the carbon filter or pick it up and tap the filter on the floor to get the fine particals out. Then hook it back up and keep running. Not to loud and no smell. I added an inkbird temperature switch to make this an automatic set up. All the features of the expensive blowers for a couple hundred bucks less. ... show more

    • Fan came loose after 4 days use, Fire hazard, plants could have died

The bolt holding the fan centered in place broke its mount, and the fan was grinding against the side wall. Luckily I was home and the fan did not have enough time to self destruct, the friction was intense, I can imagine it causing a fire, this is so cheaply made its a dangerous product. Be ready to buy a fan at a local grow shop, the cheapest mine had was $300.00 for fan alone. I had to miss work to replace this fan after 4 days use, because it was 100 degrees and my plants would have died without my exhaust fan to cool. ... show more
