The item is made well and does exactly what I was looking for. We have a sunshade outside and get late afternoon sun which occasionally needs to be blocks. The crank and pole do the job very well and they are very easy to use and store.

These work really well but, the plastic bits, specifically a removable retaining clip break after a few years, the rest is fine. Had to replace a bunch when I replaced my eave fascia boards. most of the lock clip broke or cracked, had to buy new ones for a 3 cent part.

This item worked perfect for what I needed, although the screws that came with it are very soft metal and the head strips out VERY easily. In addition one of the screws on the bracket was already completely rounded out so it could not be removed to change the orientation of the crank. Other than that the product works as intended and is a great replacement! I would recommend using better quality screws though or you may get stuck in a bind like I did! ... show more
