I got the dimout linen beige - the color looks exactly as shown, good quality. Was a fairly easy install. Did get hung up with the actual order of the shades on the track and had to get a hold of customer support for help. Once I had them on correctly it's working well. It works with Alexa, you can set a schedule on the app or you can use the remote. Love the versatility. My only complaint is the remote is weirdly shaped and attaches to the wall mount with a magnet which isn't very strong and falls off the wall frequently when using. ... show more

Update: after 3 years of daily use, it's still working flawlessly. I've had these blinds for about 5 mo now and it's been really fantastic. The main thing I like is that I can schedule them to automatically close when it starts to get dark through the app. My window was wide and I bought a 155 in unit. It came in 2 segments, which I mounted to the ceiling, and 5 panels. I chose to leave about 4 inches along the floor so as to accomodate a robovac. It was relatively easy to install. I just made sure the mounting brackets were equidistant from each other. A drill and power screwdriver is all you really need. A good ruler helps keep your distances honest. All the hardware, screws and fasteners were included. Documentation was pretty good except for some unclear points. But, although it wasn't mentioned in the docs, they do have vidoes on youtube to clearup anbiguieties, which was extremely helpful. Customer service was very responsive. I usually get detailed responses from them in within hours if not minutes. Careful unraveling the fabric panels. If you unpack it in a sloppy way, you can end up accidently folding the fabric and create creases. This happened to me when I didn't give myself enough room to unroll a couple of panels. One time, I left a chair in the path of the rail and that caused a lot of crumpling. These creases are noticable in the evening from the inside light. The company did suggest they would take care of me if they needed replacing. Ultimate, I decided the creases were tolerable and decided not to go through the process of replacing them. After a while, I tended not to notice the slight creases. Pros: * I got the baige color ones that let in some light but are completely opaque. Great privacy. * I was afraid the motor would be noisy, but no, they are very quiet. I have them automatically close before the sun goes down and if I'm not paying attention, I don't even realize they are closing. They are so quiet! * It really is nice that I can open and close them with a push of a button, given it's a large window. * If you DIY, it's relatively easy to install. No major problems at all. It's partly my fault for not being vigilant. The lowest price is for a size only a gnome would love. I don't think anybody has a 50" tall doorway! Unfortunately, due to a delay with the builder of our house, we did not notice until a few days after the product was returnable, but they gave me a set the proper size for an additional $90 (without motor). The instructions were very difficult to follow due to the lack of numbered or labeled sections, making it hard to identify specific parts. Most of the content relied heavily on diagrams with minimal written explanation, which added to the confusion. Got these to replace the awful vertical blinds on the deck slider and very happy with them. Total time was less than 2 weeks from order to delivery. I imagine quite a bit of the cost of these are the oversize FedEx shipping from China, but still pleased with the price for custom sizes. I did order larger than the door so when blinds are stowed in open mode it doesn't block a third of the window and went with the five panel for same reason. Easy to install. I only wish someone made these in a Zigbee or Zwave radio control so it was easier to integrate into Hubitat or Home Assistant. They will pair with a Bond hub and then control via that, but rather have more local control for automation ... show more

My order was placed during the timeframe that the panel design for wider blinds was changed. The delivery still contained the old documentation with the new hardware configuration. The contact with GW service was surprisingly efficient not seen for a long time. Zoe took the time to write a detailed instruction how to assemble the 2 piece track. In addition I was sent an early instruction manual in pdf format which gave me insurance that I did the job correctly. My initial bench test proved it. Only yesterday did I stumble over an online video to describe the new process. The communication via e-mail was again so prompt (within 24h or less) which made a phone call completely unnecessary. Final installation is still on hold - waiting for the replacement 8'x8' sliding door. Test with tuya smart app and alexa integration with echo 4gen will have to wait till then. Based on my experience I meanwhile ordered 5 blinds from GW, motorized with rechargeable batteries and have them working already. Product review to come shortly. After a successful installation ~8/22 it proved a well working system integrated w/ Alexa for my home automation scenes for the living room sliding door outlet to back porch. 5/25 time of unrecoverable failure to connect via wifi. Analysis lead to HW issue within motor/control function. This btw was the very first time I needed to try to reconnect for the time after 1st installation and operation and failed. This is unfortunately the 2nd graywind product, owning 5 rollerblind in the same living room, of which suddenly 1 failed to reconnect. In this case I was given the benefit of replacement of all 5 motors with a new model and extra 2 remotes to mitigate the lacking operability. While there is active work on graywind side to provide a replacement of the failing wifi motor (I requested a zigbee based alternative, I am stuck with the cost. In this case even though graywind already indicated that a wifi based replacement would also need a new remote, my current version is already discontinue. Update 6/8/25 I received in a rush delivery of replacement parts coming from CH via Fedex air which turned out to be not matching my panel blind but are intended for roller blinds. While the communication with the service from graywind started with my original order # that was upfront requested from the service representative. I requested a zigbee motor rather than a replacement for the failing wifi motor. So there seems to be some lack of product awareness by the person submitting the order to the company in CH. In this respect I also should mention that the graywind online website is very incoherent for a customer searching for replacement parts. There is no concept of linking from an order page directly to instruction video of installation or part #s, which is a common practice. Once found elsewhere these videos are lumping different products together which is more confusing for someone not already familiar with the particular product of interest. ... show more

Let me tell you, these blind challenged me but ultimately they are awesome and so is the company. When they first arrived I unpacked and started installation. The documentation is light on content and the pictures are not very clear. The are videos online but you have to find them. During the install, I dropped the rail and it it and the motor shattered. I write the company and they quickly replied with a solution to send me another rail and motor for the cost of shipping. I received the new rail and motor, completed the installation after she other challenges getting the panels installed correctly. Bottom line, these are quality blinds the that are very unique. I have never seen these in stores and I'm risky happy with how they look and work. Just be patient installing them and read all instructions and watch videos first.
