- DO NOT use while raining: The rain water will seep into your car following the strap. We strongly advise against usage in rainy day. In the event of raining during your journey, watch out for things in your car. To collect the rack pads after a rainfall, make sure to wash the pads with clean water and dry them before storage.

Well made and easy to mount on the top of my compact car. Straps that wrap around kayak are 20 ft. long, extra length goes twice around boat for added security. Most other manufacturers' setups come with only 15 ft. straps. Cam buckles are easy to operate. Pads are nonslip and fold in the middle for storage; on top of the roof this fold creates a groove for the keel to slide into for stability. I didn't want to invest in a commercial rack for my old car, these work well.

These racks were just what we needed. So easy to put on and adjust. They held our canoe very firmly on the top of our car. We took the advice of other reviewers and twisted the tie down straps to keep them from vibrating. The company warns not to use them in the rain. Well, life happens and of course it trained while we were driving. They most definitely siphoned water into the car and got some of our things wet, including me. However, with a little forethought, we figured out that you can rig the strap ends into plastic bags, or wrap in beach towels, or something similar to keep the water to a minimum. These racks were so sturdy and easy to use, that the problem of the water is a minor inconvenience. I think the same thing will happen to any system that attaches to the vehicle in the same manner.

Works fairly well, used on a 4 hour drive up to Wisconsin and work alright, kind of sketchy, would not suggest highway driving with it like I did, straps loosened up on my almost loosing my kayak almost loosing it, and the straps vibrate like crazy, very loud going anything over 45 mph, if you’re using for short slow drives to a lake, it works great

Great product! I’ve taken my kayak on the highway with no issues at all on top of my BMW 750Li. I would recommend twisting the straps between the doorframe and the kayak tho or it will sound like the mother of all beehives is in your car from the strap vibrating.
