I’m a total beginner when it comes to exercise equipment. I’ve never really been into working out, but lately I could feel that not exercising was starting to affect my health, so I decided it was time to do something about it. After doing some searching, I ended up getting this exercise bike, and I’m so glad I did. What I really like is that it gives me a full-body workout without taking forever. In just about 15 minutes, I’m already sweating and can feel my whole body engaged, not just my legs. The arm movements built into the bike make such a difference, because I wanted something that didn’t just focus on one area. It feels efficient, which keeps me motivated to actually use it. I can keep my tablet over the digital board and listen to something while I pedal makes me utilize the time efficiently. For someone like me who’s just starting out home exercise plan, this bike is perfect, it’s simple, effective, and actually makes me want to do it every day.

Very pleased with this purchase, particularly at this price point. It comes in an extremely heavy box, which you need two people to handle, and then requires quite a bit of assembly, which is time-consuming (took me over an hour), but aided by excellent instructions. (It comes with exactly the right amount of hardware, so don't misplace a screw!) After the box-hefting and assembly, one is rewarded with a sturdy, attractive machine. One thing that I love is that its operation is very quiet, making it easy to watch TV while exercising. It also comes with a nice tray so that you can watch things on your phone while exercising, too. The tension is adjusted via a dial, which seems to work well in terms of getting the tension you like. One thing that it lacks compared to super-expensive machines is that you can't adjust the tilt (i.e. you can't switch from more of a climbing feel to more of a striding feel). The tilt it comes with feels to me more like climbing than striding but as long as that suits you, it's a nice value.

We bought this UMAY elliptical for home workouts, and while it’s a nice-looking and quiet machine, it wasn’t the right fit for us. Both of us are over 6 feet tall and bigger-bodied, and the machine didn’t feel as stable as we needed. During use, it felt a little too light and narrow, which made longer workouts uncomfortable because we didn’t feel fully supported. The stride length also felt a bit short for our height, so our movement didn’t feel as natural as it should on an elliptical. That said, the machine itself is quiet and smooth, and the resistance levels work well. It was easy to assemble, and the display and heart rate grips worked as expected. For someone smaller or lighter, this would probably be a good option for basic cardio at home. This elliptical is best suited for average-sized users or people who want a compact, quiet machine for light to moderate workouts. If you’re tall or heavier and need something more heavy-duty and stable, you may want to look for a larger model. Overall, it’s a decent machine, but it just wasn’t built for our size and needs.

Overall, I'm very happy with the machine's quality. Assembly: • 45 minutes to open box & unwrap the parts (it's securely packaged, and there's plenty of wrapping) • 2 leisurely hours to carefully complete assembly (by myself) • BYO AA batteries (2) • happily, all the stickers pulled off easily during assembly. I was delighted to discover there is no branding label affixed to the machine • I read another person's review about leaving the joint covers off to permit easy access for periodically lubricating the moving joints. Such a great idea! For now I decided to attach mine to help keep cat hair out, and found the covers do provide a nice finished look • I placed a 4"x4" vibration pad (with added felt) under each of the elliptical's feet to help protect my landlord's wooden flooring, allow the elliptical to be easily pushed around the room, and to maintain quietness. I am mighty happy with that choice • The box is heavy, bring a friend I'm 5'4" and find the stride a bit shorter than I'd love, but the machine has a fantastic feel to it—smooth, solid and steady—and it provides a strong, worthy workout. I'm chemically sensitive and noted there's some initial off-gassing that was primarily from the packaging. the remainder of the off-gassing is quite mild.
