    • Love this Lock - perfect for short term rental
This lock is exactly what we needed. We use the Ultraloq Air - set up a code for each new guest that is valid during their time of stay. Love the look, and it is sturdy and well built. Really like that it automatically relocks itself. We also get log and reports each time someone uses the lock. We can tell when guest check in and when the cleaners arrive, just by checking the log. I had a little trouble with the lock - Think it was my fault because I tried to add it to my app on my phone instead of using the Ultraloq Air online. Anyway, I sent the help folks an email and they were able to help me sort things out. I really appreciate their helpfulness. I highly recommend this lock.     • Pretty good!
Overall we've been happy with the product. We did run into one hiccup when the batteries went dead, but the company fixed it by replacing the product which came in pretty quick. Not sure why, but when the batteries were showing low status, I changed them. The second I replaced them with new batteries, the electronics to the door never turned on again. I tried several sets of new batteries just to be sure and still, the keypad never lit up again and I could not connect from the app--the product simply died randomly. I even tried doing pushing in the master reset button--still nothing. If this happens a second time, when it comes time to replace the batteries with the new door handle, I'm not sure what I'll do. Customer service was excellent though. Like I said, they got a new product out right away! One feature I wish the door handle had though is a switch on the inside to manually keep the door unlocked vs. going through the app to do it. I don't give everyone "admin" access to the door so, if I'm not there or on vacation, they can't make the door stay unlocked in my absence. As to whether or not I would buy this product again, it really depends on how it goes when I have to replace this set of batteries. If it stops working again, then probably no. But, if that was a one-time glitch, then absolutely. The product is very nice looking and easy to use! ... show more

Lock is easy to install. Use of app is easy. I'm able to lock/unlock my door remotely. App features are user friendly. I don't have to carry a key or hide a key. I liked that the wireless connection is in the lock device itself instead of needing to purchasing separate wireless device to communicate between lock and phone. Customer support is also helpful and quick to resolve a small issue with my purchase. ... show more

    • Update: Broken After Six Minths. Pretty Good Lock. Would like to see more features in the future.
Update: Changing to 1 star. Just after six months of use the entire device is broken. No long opens at all. Not even from the inside. I took it apart and put back on and door still will no open from the inside or outside with code our using app. This was too expensive to break this soon. Plus the lack of integration with other home automation tools just makes this an1 star rated device. Update: I think I would add a 5th start if this device had some of the features I mentioned below. The lack of z-wave, ZigBee, and/or home kit integration makes it very hard to integrate this device with Home Assistant. If it had that capability I would make it a 5-star product. I do need some of that automation integrated with other products and without it, I think this device needs to be returned. ------- Right now I am pleased with this product. There are a few things I would like to see added to both the instructions and to the product overall. 1. I installed this thing 2 times thinking I had not done it right before realizing what I thought wasn't working was just how the door handle works. I had installed both the external and the internal parts and went to test the handles. The internal would work and open the latch. The external handle did nothing. So I uninstalled thinking i did something wrong. Reinstalled and repeated another time. Almost packed it up and sent it back. Tried a 3rd time. Turns out the external handle doesn't move anything unless the device is unlocked. I would have assumed with it locked that the handle wouldn't move either. So as soon as I had it connected and the app connected and unlocked the handle worked. All this could have been avoided if the instructions called this out somehow. 2. Features I would love to see at one point. Zigbee or Z-Wave technology added. This would help with the automation of other products we have. 3. Notification if the door was left open. I have other devices that do this now but this would be nice to have integrated. 4. I would like to have more advanced user features in the app. Maybe include schedules where the lock can be put to pass-through mode during a certain time period and then go back to auto-lock status. Would like to have more advanced features around the users as well. Maybe something around schedules when a user can access the specific locks etc. Also, a way in the app to manage users separate from the device and then assign them to multiple devices. ... show more

Easy to install and setup. Quality construction. I have installed dozens of schlage digital locks. This is a good alternative that has many more features. The app work adequately.

    • more trouble than it is worth
I bought this to secure a door from house into the garage that we use frequently, but also occasionally forget to lock at night. I wanted to set on passage mode (to allow easy use during the day) then change to lock at night. The installation was easy, and the device seems quite well made, but the software and the device have some deal-breaking limitations. First, there is no way to manually lock the door; it can only be done using the app, and even then only in certain modes. There is no way to check is the door is locked besides opening the app or actually going in the garage and trying. A red or green LED would have been most useful to tell at a glance. Most frustrating, in passage mode you can't lock thru the app either - you need to change to normal mode. In normal mode, you can't turn off auto lock and the maximum time off for auto-lock was 30 minutes. With a "status" (locked/unlocked) light on the device , and a button on the device to lock, and with modifications to the software, I'd gladly buy this device again, but as it is, it doesn't suit my purposes. ... show more
