First, I undertoned my hair prior so this was needed to save face, it's great! I started with gold and orange and yellow in my bleached hair and roots were about 8 level otherwise it was 8,9,10 scattered through the hair none looking good, so I used this as directed but I used level 10 developer, it turned out perfect, I left it on 15 minutes max including putting it on, I did the back first, since I had no help I did it in sections, used two pouches, did back first, rinsed, then sides and top with 2nd packet and touchng up anything that needed more in the back same 15 min washed it all out for a good 20 min, then added my toners. I'll add pics tomorrow. But I'm so happy, even before using the toners this charcoal bleach toned it beautifully, definitely do strand test to have the amount of time you need to get it how you want I did four tests, two on each side all different times until I saw what was best for my hair. I conditioned with Palmer's heavy conditioner packet. It works great!!!! I was very surprised how good that stuff is! Anyway, this bleach is everything for dark hair, I will never use white bleach again! Thanks ion!!! Highly recommended! ... show more

I have virgin hair, I’ve never bleached my hair and after seeing all the at home bleach horror stories, I really wanted something that wasn’t going to turn my hair to mush or make my hair fall out, I started with my hair being the dark brunette (blue shirt), the pink shirt pic is the first 1 hour session (1oz charcoal lightener with 2 oz 30 crème developer), and it lightened my dark hair immensely, it says to wait at least 24 hours before doing the next session, so I gave it 30 hours before I did another 1 hour session (1oz charcoal lightener with 2 oz 30 crème developer) and ended up with the black shirt pic, my hair still feels super healthy, the only thing is my scalp dried out, but honestly, to be expected, I put oil on my scalp and I’m sure I’ll be fine, idk if my hair is still considered virgin after this, but to be able to lighten my hair as fast as this product did and feel no thinning or obvious damage to my hair feels like magic to me ... show more

This product WORKS!!! So I was scared at first as I experiment with color myself a lot and aim to avoid bleach etc because it’s so damaging…however I was floored at how many levels this lifted my hair. I have medium- strong thickness/ wavy mixed race grade of hair as an FYI… My hair was already about a 5 for lightness in the main area I went over with this product. I had previous highlights/ lifted hair . My darker hair also went lighter but more orangey reddish tones not the cooler tones it advertises. Mix it correctly it will look like a mud mask or cooled lava. It is powerful so be mindful of placement. I’m sharing first pic after processing for 60 minutes… the FULL MAX TIME they advise. I know I’m a dare devil! Hair feels strong and no signs of damage- I did go to Sally’s and bought a Wella brand T-18 pale ash blonde toner to calm this Goldie locks down some. And get the brassiness I detest out as much as possible- 30 mins processing on that! Check out the start to final! Hope this helps! ... show more
