I am blown away by the Skywave X50. This model can definitely handle a large room for sure, and the value you get is unbeatable. I have this system setup in my basement, and the bass is so powerful that my wife said it literally vibrated her butt while she was sitting on her recliner upstairs!Right from the start, this was the best packaging job I’ve ever experienced—everything arrived in pristine condition. Setup was so easy, my wife could have set it up. I also bought the speaker stands, and they were just as simple to assemble.I love the simplicity of the remote, yet it remains completely functional. For most people, it will give you a true theater experience right out of the box. If you are an audiophile, you will be pleased with a little tweak. Downloading the Ultimea App unlocks custom settings, and the Xupmix feature in the app is fantastic. It lets you force standard stereo sound (like on YouTube) into a full 3D surround experience, while automatically mapping native Dolby Atmos content perfectly when it's off.One critical tip for everyone: You just have to set your TV audio output to passthrough and not PCM, otherwise, your TV won't send the proper true surround sound data to the soundbar.Overall, an incredible system that hits way above its price tag! Let’s start off with saying I have a Samsung TV so I bought what was considered Samsung’s best sound system: HW-Q990F with an 11.1.4 channel system. What a piece of crap. I have three advance degrees in music and sound design/production so I’d like to think I’m an expert on this subject. I thought the system was defective it was so unbalanced but after an extensive search for complaints online it really is a piece of crap. I actually had to pay Samsung to take it back even when they offered me a discount to keep it. I said I wouldn’t keep this piece of crap if you literally gave it to me. I had already given away a 3.1 Samsung soundbar/sub which I was very happy with and was sorely disappointed that I jumped the gun on that. Thus began my search for a sound system that offered the minimum 5.1 channel with rear speakers true surround sound I was wanting beyond my 3.1 system. I just happened to come across the Ultimea Skywave X50. The price points between the Skywave X50 and Samsung’s most premium system are pretty far apart. So my first reaction was the Skywave X50 probably wasn’t that good or would be cheap. However, the reviews on Amazon were pretty good, so I decided to dive a little deeper and look at some YouTube reviews. I was impressed enough to take a chance and purchase the system. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised!!! With the Samsung system the bass was so anemic no matter what I did I couldn’t get it to “thump”. It would give you the lower long tones but had no “punch/thump.” The Skywave system does both with ease. The rear speakers gave me the true surround I was looking for and they even have additional up-firing drivers. I love that the rear speakers are wireless as well. No wires having to run from the main soundbar keeps my room clean. They have also maintained their connection. I have never had to re-pair them. I also love that the system has an app I can control in extreme detail many aspects and even set individual levels of each speaker. Samsung doesn’t come anywhere close to this. Here’s the best part for me which I had no expectation- my Samsung TV recognizes the Ultimea system so I don’t need the seperate remote. The system powers on when I turn on my tv and powers off just the same. It has a beautiful and sleek design. I just cannot say enough good things. This system is everything I wanted and more for a fraction of what the so-called high-end producers want for their systems. Now I know for sure they are ripping us off. Do yourself a favor and get this. You won’t be disappointed.

This sound system meets every expectation. The wireless speakers function perfectly and create incredible surround sound. The remote is easy to use and adjusting the speakers and volume at every range is so easy to do. The step by step instructions made it easy to assemble and wire to the TV. It was pretty much plug in and play. The size is just right. It doesn’t take up much room at all. We have had zero issues with it. A great value for the money spent.

UPDATE 12/26/2025: After multiple email communications with Ultimea Customer Support, they offered to ship me a n entire replacement system, prior to me returning the defective system. I was able to continue using the original system (with the non-functional left rear surround speaker) while awaiting the new system. I received the new system and set it up. It is functioning properly. I am impressed with the sound of the system and its overall "value". At a price of $500 or less, I don't know if you can easily beat the overall quality, feature set and performance of the Skywave X50. In another room I have a Sonos system (Beam 2 and Sub-Mini) that sounds better, but at roughly 2x what I paid for the Ultimea Skywave X50. Does that system sound 2x better? Nope! But noticeably better, especially the dialogue in movies. Still, I would definitely recommend the Ultimea Skywave X50 system for anyone looking for a good sounding and feature packed surround system that won't make a huge dent in your wallet. Hats off to Ultimea Customer Support. Though it was a bit "rocky" initially, they did come through and make it right. They even reached out via phone to "check in" and make sure the new system was operating properly and I was satisfied. That was unexpected, but welcome! Anyways, due to the ultimate Customer Support response and my overall satisfaction with the system itself, I am upgrading my review to 4 stars (from 3 stars). I have to be pretty happy with a product from DAY ONE to give a 5 star review, so 4 star is pretty good!!!! ORIGINAL REVEW: Received in a timely manner. VERY well packaged. Quick Start Guide instructions a bit lacking, but useable. After spending a decent amount of time unpacking (like I said, VERY well packaged....), it took me about 15 minutes to connect all of the components (soundbar to TV via eArc HDMI). Tested it out but for some reason, the LEFT wireless surround speaker would not pair to the system. Did troubleshooting, still no luck. Tried to pair with speaker 2'-3' from soundbar and it paired. Would NOT hold pair when I moved speaker to its desired location (approximately 12' from soundbar, line-of-sight, NO obstructions). Very frustrating. Reached out via email to Ultimea support. Their suggestions was to repackage ENTIRE system and return it to them and they would ship me a new system. Why not ship me a replacement for the obviously malfunctioning LEFT surround speaker? I would be happy to return the malfunctioning speaker. To try to repackage the entire system, take it someplace to ship, wait for the replacement, unpackage and re-install seems ludicrous!! Per the Quick Start Guide and tech support the surround speakers can be manually paired if necessary, so why force me to return the entire system? Doesn't make a lot of sense economically and certainly not from a customer service standpoint. Anyways, the system (at least the parts that function properly) does sound quite good. Overall quality seems good and definitely a good value. I don't blame the company for the defective/malfunctioning speaker (things happen....), but I definitely DO blame them for an unsatisfactory support response. Just going to return the system (since according to them to receive a replacement component I would have to send the whole system back anyways) and try a different brand. It's a shame, because for what it is, Ultimea seems like a good value.

I have had Ultimea's entry level $100 setup and was impressed by it for that price range. This one, however, is in an entirely different league. I got this on Black Friday sale with a special for about $330 so just be aware. I wasn't prepared for the quality of the packaging and had left my phone downstairs on the charger when I unboxed sadly. - Packaging is BEYOND top notch. Super easy to remove from the box (including having handles for you to remove the subwoofer in). The organization of it makes it very easy to remove and assemble. The cords all come in their own box that's neatly arranged. 12/10 Packaging. - The design is absolutely gorgeous. The subtle outlines in 'gold' (most likely just plating) really make it look incredible. The subwoofer design is amazing because of this. Really top notch look. The Surround Speakers are the same! - Build quality is great! I've held heavier soundbars that felt a little more premium but this does not feel cheap by any means. I prefer the lighter weight personally. The subwoofer does weigh a TON and not in a bad way (more on this in a minute). - It was very easy to setup and connect everything, there's a lot of options for SPDIF, HDMI, BT. Can't ask for more without a receiver. - Soundbar is standard length (about the length of a 50in TV), Subwoofer is fairly large but also in a good way! - The main thing you are probably wanting to know is: The sound quality. I put this in a medium sized room (room over the garage) and when I tell you it blew me away. I mean it. I have a Nakamichi system downstairs and I won't lie this is almost comparable and it's less than half the price (even when not on sale). The bass is actually deep (sub bass) and RICH with such a clean sound to it. BE WARNED IF YOU ARE IN AN APARTMENT AND I'M NOT JOKING!!! This will rattle your brain. You can tune this down to fit your needs. Surround Sound with the upfiring speakers is so much better than I thought it'd be. I cannot stress enough how blown away I was while watching movies and shows. Bladerunner 2049 sounds breathtaking on this. Music sounds rich, balanced, and full! The EQ presets are awesome and you can customize them to your liking. TLDR: Brain mushing bass that's rich and deep but can be toned down if it's too much. TOP TIER Audio quality that feels like a company that truly loves their audio. You CANNOT beat this at sale pricing.

Very easy to setup. Connects into the eARC HDMI port on your tv. Then all you got to do is turn everything on and connect using the app ULTIMEA APP. The Surround sound and Bass sound great too. This is a must buy for the price.

We have owned Sony, Samsung, LG and Vizio soundbars of different qualities and price points. We have watched reviews and followed the advice of supposed sales experts. No matter what we have tried we have always struggled to get the center channel voices to project with reliable or often even audible dialogue. Then we saw a video on YouTube by Theatre at Home. He recommended this sound bar. We took a chance and ordered the X50 on a Prime deal. All I can say is WOW !!! This system is amazing and what makes it even more astonishing is we got it for $400 !!! The worst movie we had in our digital collection was The Grey. The dialogue was so weak it was difficult to even watch. We had to use close caption. After connecting the system I immediately tried The Grey. It was like being in a movie theater !!! We tried numerous other movies including music videos, it is amazing how great our new sound system performs !!! We immediately ordered another X50 to replace our living room Vizio Elevate. We highly recommend this sound bar !!!
