Since the Canon R8 seems to dissipate heat toward the front of the camera rather than the back, this fan only had a small impact on recording time, gave me around an additional 3-4 minutes at 4k60 before still overheating. It does cool my a6700 from overheating but...the suction cups don't hold very well, even with the stick-on suction surface they provide. Plan on having it fall off the camera a lot! But for the suction cups the unit is really well made. The fan is quiet, the thermometer is accurate. The battery lasts a long time. ... show more

I've got a Sony a6700 that runs hot when doing long format videos. I got this and it definitely helps keep things cool. I didn't like the whole suction cup idea, so I designed and 3D printed a holder for it.

    • Could not get it to stick to my Sony ZV-E10
I got this to help cool down my Sony ZV-E10, which I use as a webcam 8-10 hours a day. It was overheating after a few hours, even with using a dummy battery. I had high hopes. It's a great small build. But the included suction cups are just not powerful enough to keep this on the back of my camera. If I was OK with a semi-permanent installation I would have used some double sided tape but I wanted the ability to remove the fan to move the camera around. 5 star idea, 2 star execution. ... show more

    • Ineffective on Fuji X-T4 and Falls off Over and Over
I got this for my Fujifilm X-T4 which overheats regularly as I use it in 95F+ temps. This fan falls off after 10-15 minutes - less if the camera isn't static on a tripod and is moving around. The six suction cups just can't seem to stay attached once the fan is running and vibrating. At some point it is going to fall on the hard floor and they cheap plastic casing will break. I don't notice any significant difference in the amount of time I can run the camera before I get the dreaded temperature warning. Bottom line: don't waste your money. I will admit that it is nice and quiet and the battery seems to last a while. ... show more

    • They're great... for as long as the suction cups stay on, which is not very long.
Ulazni stuff has always been good, affordable, and reliable, up until this cooling unit. I really wanted to love these things, and when you do use them, they'll definitely take care of the overheating issues. But, the suction doesn't stay stuck on to the cameras for very long (20-30 minutes for a number of my shoots). I use them for locked-off cameras, and they'll just fall off at random points during their use. I really wish Ulazni could come up with a better method of affixing them to the back of the camera bodies. ... show more
