    • UPDATE to: Fits on vertical air vents on Equinox
My Chevy Equinox has vertical a/c vents, unlike most cas that have horizontal vents. I just put it in the vent and it has a mechanism that allows you to tighten the grip that the hook grabs onto the vent. I have had it all of ten minutes, but it is one f a few that I could find to accommodate vertical vents. It also works on horizontal. UGREEN has always been a dependable brand. Seems stable, but I haven't driven with it yet. Also I have a protective case on my phone Galaxy S22 Plus and it fits the arms of the vent clip with room to spare. I recommend this product if you have an Equinox or other car with vertical air vents in the dashboard. UPDATE: I have driven with this car mount several times.     • it has a metal hook so it can be attached firmly to the car gill without fail.
it works for a phone with case and stick on wallet, 3 credit cards thick. The round nut is hard to turn at final turn because it is round and not grippy. The round nut could be redesigned to allow more friction instead. Other than that it is able to hold my thick phone in place firmly.

I purchased this because my car is in the shop and I have a rental. I thought I could do without a holder for a few weeks. Nope. I searched using the rental car make and model. This one came up. It was easy to install once you understand the principle. Holds my phone right where I need it. A reasonable price and I will leave in the rental when I return it - I have all I need in my vehicles at this point. I would purchase this one again if I needed one. Purchased a new cell that included and stand on the back in addition to a camera lens cover. These 2 features made it impossible to find a holder that could tightly hold onto my phone...until I found this one. With its 1 inch side clasp depth, I feel confident that my phone will not fall out...it took a lot of searching to find one that had this much depth for the side arms. I also love the easy of opening and closing the arms. There are 2 buttons that the fingers on one hand can easily press to open them and once the phone is in place it's a soft squeeze to close them securely. I also love the ease of mounting this holder onto my vents and once tightened they are not only secure and stay in place while driving but the bracket keeps the phone off the vents to allow heat or A/C to blow. No worries about my phone getting too hot when the heater is on. So glad I found this holder rather than try to find a different cell case for other holders on the market. ... show more

I recently purchased a 2019 Mazda CX-5 (CX5), and bought a custom phone mount for it on amazon (ASIN for mount: B07VZM9JST, search for that number on amazon if interested). The mount itself was fantastic, but the holder was too small for my iPhone 14 w/ Otterbox PopSocket case. The solution: I took the holder piece from this UGREEN mount and attached it to the ball connector of the CLEC brand mount. This holder is perfect for my phone, and it feels much more secure. Obviously I didn't use the included clip mount, but it looks like one of the better ones that I've seen. I'll use it if my custom mount breaks. ... show more
