  • Setup was fairly easy
This is for the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO. First let me say that I have had setup issues in the past with UniFi and their computer server software. This time I was pleasantly supply at how smooth (overall) the process went. I hooked up three of these units and as long as you connect them one at a time, the process, though slow, works very well. Once connected you have to wait for the install and update of each device. Then I renamed them based on location. In the past hooking them up was a much bigger pain. For those that have not used UniFi before, do a little reading, as the software is not straightforward for applying settings, and you have to really read everything. Also unless you are wanting more than one unit stay away from these, there are easier units to work with if you are not tech savy. Performance: EXCELLENT! We have had issues with wireless due to the amount of wireless devices required for this location, so far (6 weeks) these have been working great. I have noticed they jumped around on the channels and seem to have found a decent comprise and no complaints from the users anymore about poor signal, or the signal not jumping from one AP to the next. ... show more

  • Flawless after two years outside in midwest weather
We downsized back in 2021 and ended up with a detached garage roughly 60 feet from the main house. I debated burying cable from the house to the garage but after reading some reviews decided to give this a shot. I can't say enough how well this has worked out. I ran a cable from my first floor home office along the side of the house to the back and installed the access point about 8-9' up and under an overhang. It has worked flawlessly for two years through hard rain and freezing cold. I spent weekends in the garage working on our cars and motorcycles with the door closed and heat on and never lost a signal. Never. I stream games and music the entire time. Even have a Google Home to keep in touch with others in the house. I strongly recommend this product. It's well worth the cost. ... show more

  • Well worth the time, money and work!
Easy!! You dont need to be an expert to install this. With a little bit of research and tools, you will be fine. Would highly recommend this Wireless Access Point to my family and friends! Well worth the money, research and work!! Top notch product! Blazing speed! I normally have 4 cell phones, 3 ipads, a playststion, xbox, 4tv's, smart refrigerator, siri and alexa running constantly. Im getting between 300-400mgbs in my room. I installed it in my closet, 3rd story, 3,500 square feet and my mode/router is in the basement. I did not have any issues with the software install. If you have registered an account before and know how to follow instructions on youtube, you will be fine. I did have an issue with the install on the wall and was not sure which way the plates went, but after playing with it and watching a couple a videos, it was an easy install. I spent about 1 hour total, downloading, registering and install. I'm very happy with this WAP and my only regret is that I did not prewire one in every floor so I can install 3 more of these beautiful looking bad boys! ... show more

  • Best WAP I've ever had
I'm planning on getting rid of my other WAP's to replace them with these. Easy to install (POI - greatest thing, ever), strong signal, easy to configure and tune - fantastic product. Installed under the house soffit in Florida (2/2021) - if it can survive the summer this could be the best product ever made. If you are reading this and it is past 9/2021 and you don't see an update, you'll know it survived! Seriously, I have repurposed old routers who cost 50-100 more than one of these - hands down the best one I have used yet. I can't wait to install more using the minimum RSSI feature to allow a more seamless handoff as I move about the house - to avoid sticking to an old router and having poor performance. I want to connect to the router I am closest to! Seems Ubiquiti is the only/best at this feature. ... show more

  • Great range
This UAP AC Pro replaced an UAP AC Lite unit that was having a bit of trouble reaching some remote corners of my house. With this unit every device on my network gets an "excellent" connection rating while a few were not "excellent" with the UAP AC Lite.

  • Best WAP Hands Down -BUT DON'T USE THE APP TO INSTALL!
I have installed several of these in my house and work and they are the best WAP I have ever used. HOWEVER the first two took me FOREVER to connect to my UDM Pro. If you are using these with a controller like the UDM or UDM pro DO NOT USE THE PHONE APP TO SET UP! Just plug them in to the controller and set up from the controller's web admin. If you use the app they will never adopt and never connect to the controller. They will still work but just will not adapt/connect so you can not control them from the controller. If you are using them without a controller then use the phone app. ... show more
