Way better than the cheap versions. The lid on this one is easy to open and close quickly. The unit stays floating for plenty of time. If you are comparing this one with another one a few dollars less, I recommend going with this one. We previously purchased a different tablet floater for a few dollars less. It only lasted about 3 months before it sank to the bottom of the pool. The lid was also annoying because it was difficult to open and close and it was flimsy. None of those problems have arisen with this name brand one. ... show more

This is a great floating pool chlorinator for above ground pools. It’s sturdy and very aesthetically pleasing. That thermometer on it helps out tremendously in the summer when trying to figure out the water temperature. Only negative I would give it would be that the bottom piece you open for chlorine flow seems to be kind of flimsy. This is our first year using this item so we will see how long the bottom piece holds up. ... show more
